This thread makes me hungry for a burger, fries and a shake, but I'm going to settle for a corn dog, onions rings and a shake.

The Five Guys I used to frequent sold beer and filled it from the bottom of the cup.

I met a good friend of Mr. Balls on a deserted parking lot in Rayville one afternoon and have it on his authority that Balls is a swell guy.

Just going to chime in here and say this was the most miserable thread I have read on this board in numerous years.

I ate there once. Once. Their burger and fries both sucked so I’ve never gone back. I have no recollection of the price. Maybe I should’ve gotten a double or triple burger, I’m not sure if that would’ve helped. But the practice of giving you way too many limp, brown fries - not golden brown but just brown - was a turnoff. And even dining in the restaurant my only mustard option was little packets.

Sounds like they are not executing the fries correctly.
I've been to a couple of locations where the fries were not as crispy as they should be but,the fries are always crispy & crunchy when I dine @the 5Gs by me.
Wish they would bring back the free peanuts.

Yep ate at the one in Thibodaux on Sunday. 5 single patty burgers five drinks and a large fry was $53.... we could have had sit down for that kind of pricing. It was good but Burger King would have been just as satisfying and probably $15 cheaper

If you are going to a sit down place for 5 people and getting out for $53, I don’t think I’d be wanting to join you at such a place. Haha!

Yeah but then you'd have had to eaten Burger King's french fries

It seems that 5guys justifies the high prices by giving you a zillion fries? they had potato bins or bags of potato's as deco every where IIRC.
at least that was what i recall the last time I was there, which was years ago. i have not returned ever since i discovered Cook Out.
Also: love the chili @Firehouse
the subs are way better than subway and JimmyJohns.

They have definitely reduced the portions on fries as well as upped the price over the years

did you go to cook out and get a malted shake? or just buy whoppers and make one?
