This is correct. They are hilarious. You're still a terrible person.

I don’t eat enough ketchup to give a shite about the sugar content. . I like it on fries and don’t eat a lot of fries. I’m sure the Honey Boo Boos of the world should give paused to their ketchup consumption. But not me.

My take as well. Sometimes with fries. I use for cocktail with horse radish for raw oysters. I never put it on burgers. Ever.

For those few cretins (me and a few others) who use ketchup on their fries (sometimes or all the time) may I suggest a mixture you might like.

There was a restaurant in Jackson that is not longer open (Que Sera Sera). They served a mixture of ketchup and liquid smoke with their fries. It was great. we still do it at home when we cook fries. Try it. Smoky ketchup is tasty.

Another suggestion. I had a great friend (RIP) who mixed Worcestershire sauce with his ketchup. It is also great. If you want some spicy variety in your life, mix up a little and try both.

To my knowledge, 5 guys does not offer either of these. You must custom make them yourself. Do it in a small bowl. I have no idea what the percent composition is. Use more ketchup than liquid smoke or Worcestershire. Only a couple or three drops of smoke, and more Worcestershire if doing that mixture. Add a little cayenne or hot sauce if you like heat.

Thanks for the info. Other than twice (once to try them out when they were a new thing, and once, many years later, when we met our Louisiana grandkids when passing through their town on a trip) I don't eat their food, so I doubt I will ever need that.

I used to really enjoy Que Sera Sera. They made a really good mushroom swiss burger. The fries were fresh cut and good, fried mushrooms were solid, red beans and a few other things were also very good.

I can understand the original location on North State closing, since that side of the street is a war zone, but the Lakeland location didn't stay open for long, surprisingly. I also liked CS's behind Millsaps for lunch, but I'm not sure if it's still open.

No Bun - That's what I had with the grandkids. Wasn't nearly what that fake advertisement photo looked like. Actually not even close.

Imagine a world where burgers looked like the advertisement photos they show to lure you in the store. I guess that will be what Heaven will be like.

After hearing about how good it is , I tried it out a few months ago. Simple burger & fries no salt was like $14. The only compliment I can give is they gave an enormous amount of fries.

Is that how you ordered it, "No Bun"?

I ask because there's a difference between "No Bun" & "Lettuce Wrap".

I am 97.20377641% certain I ordered a "Lettuce Wrap" sandwich from them. Hopefully you will understand I have been at this a long time and as a former fat guy I know my way around burger joints.

If it helps your confidence any, my wife is/was CIA trained (monogramed Chef jacket and everything).

I hardly ever order a no bun hamburger when eating out, since we make that meal very well at home as both lettuce wrap and burger topped salad.

I have not had one in ages, but my experience was Hardees had the best lettuce wrap burgers we ever found. 10 years ago, so that could have changed many times.

I do know that they had their chance with me and I will not go back to 5 guys. I also know that will not hurt their bottom line one bit. That's ok. I'm not trying to hurt them. I just don't like their product.
