Hard to find the full original episode (meaning I am too cheap to pay for it), but Alton Brown famously credited sardines as a key component of his weight loss.

Those AB sardine sandwiches are what got me liking sardines. It's a fantastic little little meal. I use the King Oscar brisling sardines.

No but I like the double layer. I don’t care for The Mediterranean style. If you want something good get Whole Foods or Central Market to order them fresh and grill them with some lemon and garlic and herbs. Then serve with some good toast. Unreal.

King Oscar is the best brand by a mile. Ive tried them all and the only ones I can get across my gullet is King Oscar.

If you buy the jalapeño ones, Godspeed!

I regularly buy King Oscar sardines and kippers.

Just saw the jalapeno ones at Wal-Mart the other day for the first time. Bought a can but have not tried it yet.

Some folks who don't care for sardines may like the kippers. They are boneless fillets of smoked herring. And packed dry instead of soaked in oil.

Didn’t know King Oscar had a jalapeño product. On a mission now.
