What are your favorite appetizers for a casual sports bar type environment that are not your common items like fried pickles, southwest egg rolls, etc…

usually don’t order fried apps unless that’s all we are eating. You limited your topic to bar food but if a place has a bowl of mussels, they are getting ordered

I was in a bar in Portree Scotland and they actually had mussels on the appetizer menu. Probably the best mussels I have ever had. The sauce was incredible.

A charcuterie like, offering with some spicy proteins along with some stinky cheeses. Nothing that would spoil my upcoming meal, but filling enough to balance well with my drink.
