The back room sex-trade shite you have to go through to get Ghost makes it lose some appeal to me.
It was only one blow job and now I get unlimited quantities of Ghost. It was worth every second.

Really? Only thing I've heard about it was from the "women in beer" episode of The Session.
Don't know what the beer is like.

I feel like people were saying it was the new thing in 2015 as well?

there is already a bit of a push back, not towards Ghost specifically, but to the trend of the hazy, turbid IPA/DIPAs
if everyone does the same thing thing, it all kind of gets boring
eventually someone will come up with a new trend in the IPA/DIPA game and the Ghosts of the world will be left behind
its all about the trends in the craft beer world
grissettes seem to be the gose of 2016, for example
Please post some "push back" about hill farmstead, treehouse, tired hands' ipas. I have yet to see any and all trade forums are flush for requests of said style.
Also, not sure of the definition of a trend, but that style of ipas had been brewed in the northeast for the last 5 plus years.
Seems like an awful long "trend."

If you don't bring some NE IPAs or Ghost around here, they won't let you in the backdoor to the secret shares.

I'll say this, since Saturday this is where I'm at --
I'll probably down 4-5 Envies tonight while writing. I'd rather have Envie. It just drinks better.

I prefer Envie as well, part of it is like everyone else said, I can find it easier and it is always available. I also find it more "crushable" as Kim would say than Ghost.

It has been a constant in my fridge for the last 2-3 months. I could drink it every single day.

Same year. I wouldn't even buy other beer if they sold it in the can.

Anyone like Commotion APA by great raft?
Posted on 3/15/16 at 9:22 pm to Paul Allen
Yes but it is still below Envie

Commotion is good for sure. Envie is different. Some like it better. Try it and see what you think. Different styles.

Had Commotion for the first time a week or so ago based on the recommendation of this board and tried Envie on Sunday for the same reason. Liked them both a lot.
Anyone have any good recommendations on sours I can find around the Northshore/southshore/baton Rouge area? I tried one at Old Rail and it was the first sour I've had and I liked it a lot.

I am a big fan, but Great Raft is doing some good things
Commotion is really good.
I should have read through the thread.
Hard to say Goat because of how much of this is preference, but both are good drinkable hoppy beers. If you are into one I think you'll really enjoy the other.

I enjoy both, but lean towards Commotion. Most of my 6-pack drinking involves outdoor activities, especially when I'm in Louisiana. Envie and Commotion are close enough in flavor characteristics to me, so I default to packaging. I would be content with either if packaging weren't a consideration.
