It's no secret that I hate IPAs. So, I was at a restaurant in Laffy last night on a client deal and didn't see anything I really wanted. I wanted something I would drink slowly, so I got an Envie. I expected to dislike it a bit, but manage to get it down eventually. Loved it. Loved it so much that it's puzzling to me that the IPA fans here like it at all. It had virtually no pine tree taste at all.

I did wake up with locked up sinuses though. Not sure if the cause was the two Envies, or the two La31s I had at the hotel before dinner.

You realize that's not the only flavor profile IPA drinkers like, right?

Not sure that's ever crossed my mind. I'm just talking about how gross every single other IPA has been to me. They have all been pine sol. Especially everything from Lagunitas.

Try the Destihl Wild Sour series. I've been through those a few times now and I like them. Also readily available on taps around town.

If you can find the Saudade on tap, get several (check Bulldog).

I started drinking all this queer beer a few years ago when the beer movement hit this board. Mainly just to see what all these hippies were blabbing about and be somewhat educated when I made fun of them for liking gross beer. I wasn't planning on liking any of it. Fast forward a few years and I'm searching towns I travel too for work looking for brew pubs and the dankest hoppy arse beer I can find. I love that shite. Not overly proud of myself for consorting with so many ironic beard people and guys under fedoras though. Oh well, Cest la vie.

If you are a single guy, not being in the craft beer movement is a terrible decision.

Every place that is a "craft beer bar" is now overrun with groups of 20-something professional women. They are the sushi restaurants of 10 years ago

I just want a buzz. And I'm tired of white cans (19) at a time.

But all this jibba jabba regarding white women is interdasting.

Yea, it's certainly not all beards and fedoras. I've seen crazy amounts of talent at places like Wicked Weed and such

Apparently the fairer sex likes sours. Of course the old Gose requirement as well.

I have never seen a young woman drink a craft beer, but then again, I'm old and married.

I know one that drinks Purple Haze, but that's really a dessert beer.
