Started at LSU last fall and have wanted some good deepdish pizza for a while now. Anyone know any good places in BR?

Not many options

Rotolos Craft and Crust on Burbank at Ben Hur has it, just south of LSU by where a lot of students live

BJ’s Brewhouse outside of Mall of Louisiana has them also.

There's a place in Metairie called "That's Amore" that supposedly has the best around.

Link to the same thread I started a few years ago - https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/food-and-drink/deep-dish-pizza---baton-rouge/103210291/

There's also a second location of That's Amore in Mandeville

That’s Amore in Mandeville is worth the drive. Fantastic deep dish that takes all of 45 minutes so call it in on your way and enjoy it there. The owner came over and served us the 1st two slices and the cheese stretched for several feet. Fun experience

You guys have an Old Chicago? I had one of those probably 15 years ago and thought it was solid deep dish for a chain.

I haven’t had it, but saw a deep dish of some type at Reginellis recently. It looked pretty good.

You can also order them off Goldbelly (Gino’s East in Chicago has some solid ones). Not sure of your living arrangements though, so perhaps that may not be feasible in your case.

Italian casserole. Shouldn't allow it to be called pizza.

Reginelli’s has Detroit-style pizzas on the menu, which are different than Chicago style.

Okey dokey. My mistake. I’ve had a “thick” pizza in Chicago is all I know. . It looked the same. It definitely looked good though.

I prefer NY style pizza - the kind that's 95% grease, 4% dough, and a topping to be named later.

Pizza Byronz has a very good square pizza which is deep dish or detroit style. The pepperoni or Butcher is outstanding

Their Chicago style was very good. Their regular pizza was extremely meh (although they did make a giant one like Fat Boys). I'll be interested to see if the new Greek restaurant will last.

That BBQ place on Sherwood Forest is closed for good. A friend of mine went there today and she said that place had a sign on the door that said closed for good. The name of that place was Partners. I'm sorry if I misspelled the name.

Huh? Podnuhs?

No way they are closed . They close early now but I don’t think they are permanently closed

Did you just call Podnuh's "Partners"? And mention them in a deep dish pizza thread?
