Damn DX how many are you feeding with those pork butts?

Took just at 30 minutes Utes like
Took about 30 minutes to come to a boil. I dont have anything else to compare it to but I thought it worked great. Works better than my old turkey frier setup which took forever to boil 30qts. After we dumped the crawfish in there it took about 5-6 minutes to get back up to a boil (not rolling but just a boil). We cut it off after about a minute of boiling.

How’d that set up from academy work? I’ve been debating buying the same one. The water come to a boil fairly quick?

I want to say around 300-400? But most are kids (scouting event) and when we did it last year with 12 butts we had a ton left over. Just went with 10 this year.

Yes. Their 40" propane. The wood pan and water pan designs sucked. I wrap the water pan in foil and use it as a wood tray. I bought a cheap giant pan to use as a water pan. I lost a shelf but otherwise all the drilling fat tended to catch on fire in the original configuration.

I’ve got the 40” electric and gave up on the element a long time ago. Get an AmazeN pellet tube and be done with it.
That propane model looks a little different than the electric. That’s why I was curious. Butts look good though, baw. Great job, all around.

We knew you could do it. Good job. You came to the right place for advice.

Man, those butts look great. You may be a rookie at cooking crawfish, but you certainly look like you know your way around a smoker.
Nice Job.
