Buy a ticket, if they call your number then you have the option of buying the bottle.

I don't think anybody in the whiskey thread has ever been, if they have you would never know by how mild mannered everyone is.

The baws in the Whiskey thread indicate that it is Thunderdome. Two Baws enter one Baw leaves type deal.

So you pay to enter the raffle and then you still have to pay msrp for the bottle? Calandros is making a killing on this

No,they really arent. I stopped at a bottle shop in KY last month thenguy had all the Pappys. He wanted $1500 for a bottle of 15yr old. Its MSRP is $149.99. He basically had a 10-12 times markup on all the Pappy, Stopped at anither spot and got slightly lower prices but just a couple hundred less, So they are not trying to make a killing.

The tickets are $10 a piece and the proceeds are directly going to Folds of Honor. The liquor is being sold for MSRP. The most expensive thing on the list is the Pappy 23 and its $399. They could easily mark up every bottle by much more than that, but they have not.

Costco in Texas had their PVW23 in their raffle for $299 tonight. Statewide. (and no, they are not a control state)

Not really Costco.

Texas has draconian liquor laws. It's WB Liquor Store operating on Costco's real estate.
