Drop biscuits my friend. My go to recipe is from cooks illustrated. If I’m feeling fancy or just want a mess I’ll go with the buttermilk biscuit recipe from FineCooking. If the dough is sticking to your hands I’d scale back on the liquid....

My mom’s side of the family used to have a big silver chafing dish of crab mornay on Christmas Day. It was my favorite. I remember it being served with Melba toast. Looking at my grandmas recipe and it calls for breakfast cream. Anyone familiar with this or know of a readily available substitute? ...

Smoked pork sausage or andouille from Benoit’s in Addis. The smoke flavor is different from just about any place I’ve bought sausage or andouille from. It gives the gumbo a nice smoky flavor. Iverstines andouille is also very good, but Benoit’s is #1 for me....

I need the old dry rotted rear tires off and the new ones on. I’ve broken the old bead and have the rim about 1/4 of the way out but just can’t get it out. Watched a couple videos that made it look easy but the rim just won’t come out. ...
