I laughed. My dogs went through 4 turkey dogs apiece early yesterday during 2.5 hours of training, neither asked for mustard slaw as a condiment but they would likely hit the chili. 23 degrees, + bitching wind chill, woooo. As long as MD likes it it's all cool. What is the saying about pig lips and.....

I didn't even know the new Diet DP was advertised as being for men until a couple of men (at different times) made a joke when they saw me drinking some. As if!

BTW, I eat hot dogs on Atkins, too, but I microwave them because I prefer them extra done. And then I put them in a low carb wrap, mustard, lettuce or arugula (but cabbage sounds good), no chili.

For all the naysayers ... I don't care. I eat plenty of unprocessed healthy foods, too.

That dish definitley lacked some finely chopped onions (lots) and possibly some relish.

In college, my friend once fed his cat Austex chili...... it died. True story.

Thanks for the comment. I have good memories of fish sticks too.

The nice thing is I have grand kids who like them with green peas and mashed potatoes. So I just tell the wife that I will eat what she is fixing the g-kids.

I have a few years on you if you can still remember 50!

Doesn't Hormel chili have a pretty heavy carb count for an Atkins meal?

This will start a fire here...

I love them!

Bass rod on the floor of my bass boat. Two or three bass in the live well. Can of Vienna sausages and a pack of saltines in my hand. Diet Dr Pepper in the cup holder. 6 or 7 more hours left to fish.

Heaven as I know it!

I use a straw for the few diet drinks I drink as well as for ice tea.

This is not correct. I think you may be mixing Atkins up with the Southbeach diet guy. Plus, Atkins is not above ground at this time.

I've never read a word of the south beach diet book or anything about it. But I did read the 2002 DANDR book cover-to-cover a couple of times... Granted that was about 2 years ago.

Bham, yes it does for Induction. If he's not in the induction phase he can probably get away with it.

I can't say I hate them, but I have no desire to ever eat them again..Getting that 1st v-sausage out was always a bitch. What's the trick to that? A pictorial "how to" would be super.

Stick a fork into the sausage in the middle of the can and enjoy easy access to the remaining sausages.

Yeah cole slaw is definitely something pretty easy to adapt to Atkins.

Make to include the use of a willow bladed spinnerbait while on the boat! Works pretty good to get that first one out!

Sir:
The mustard slaw is what I grew up eating. I am old as dirt. Why stop or change now.

I think the varsity in Atlanta uses mayo mix coleslaw on their dogs and if they do I have had it and didn't care for it.

My days are fewer and fewer . I'll stick to the things I enjoy if that's ok.

I usually use a worm or lizard or jig and pig. Later in the year I like to fish a frog off Lilly pads. Lots of fun, but better posted on OB.

I stay away from there because I might slip up and say how many weapons I have and they couldn't deal with that.
