ultimate sandwich

It's the muffuletta for me.
Especially if all ingredients are fresh, it has just the right amount of oil in the olive salad and the bread is slightly toasted

There is a little place in Laplace on airline Highway that has an old fella running it. They make a good Cuban.

I mean, I would eat all of these sandwiches except maybe that bologna mess. I like sandwich variety. But I'll also throw out: leftover fried fish heated up crispy in the air fryer, with some horseradish mayo and maybe a slice of marketside habanero cheese.

From the bottom up: Give me a Martin's Potato Bun, yellow mustard, 3 pickles, two thick slices of smoked fatty brisket, 4 coin-cut slices of house-made jalapeno/cheese smoked sausage, red onions, Meat Mitch Whomp Sauce, top bun.

French Dip/Roast Beef, not too sloppy, but dressed with jus on the side and plenty of melted provolone.

Evangeline maid bread toasted, an obscene amount of mayo, fresh sliced tomato, heavy on the everything bagel seasoning. I would take that over most steaks I've had.

White Evangeline maid bread, cold homemade french fries, cold ketchup. Reminds me of childhood.
