I wish lists like this would give a little more detail on the availability of these beers, like bottles, cans or on tap only, and timing of availability

Chimes has it on tap... there might be some on shelves, call Matherne's.

If you're not scared of the glorious LP, the Albertsons in Denham Springs had about 6 left last night.

It's on tap at various places. Haven't seen any bottles.

Purple haze has no business on this list imo. Ics is way too low and the tin roof porter is WAY too high.

Pretty solid list. I feel like Abita was a pity add on because it's the most recognizable brand in LA. Not knocking on Abita, but it shows how 80% of their beers are the same style and overall not that interesting.
Haven't had Grand Reserve, the Stone/NOLA colab, or that Abita select out of the 10 on the list. Just tried the NOLA Irish stout last weekend and thought it was fantastic.
My top 5 LA produced beers:
1. NOLA Irish Channel Stout
2. NOLA MechaHopzilla
3. Tin Roof Parade Grounds Porter
4. NOLA Hopitoulas
5. Abita Strawberry (i'm a sucker for this in the spring time)

Trust me, I was all aboard the "Tin Roof sucks" train up until about 2 weeks ago while at Balcony Bar I tried the Parade Ground porter. It was great, far and away the best thing made at TR.

Covington blows. Not the biggest Abita fan but when they do the strawberry right (some years haven't been up to par) it's damn tasty.

I ignored the purple haze, whenever i commented i cant get any of those in Bossier City.
Purple Haze is so so bad in my opinion.
Abita Strawberry coupled with a crawfish boil is freakin awesome.

I'm gonna have to try that Parade Ground Porter next time I see it.

Give it a shot. Maybe I had low expectaions cause it was Tin Roof but I really enjoyed it. Nice coffee and chocolate flavors but it was never overbearing. Just a solid porter.

Agree. I've had it 3 times. One was their test batch at the zapp's beer festival. It was really good.
I had it again and it's just ok.

Don't tell me this
Only had it twice, balcony bar and bulldog. Both times it tasted great to me.
