I've had the Abita, cane break, and tin roof.

It is pretty sad that a majority of those beers aren't even available in most of the state that it's produced in.

While that's a good point, it's also a good sign that the beers sell enough in their smaller region to not have to push it elsewhere.
I'm always wary of some new craft brewery in Colorado or some crap pushing beers into Louisiana. It makes me think they must suck if they can't sell enough closer to home to meet the supply.

On topic-I have to go to Lake Charles this weekend for soccer. Where might I stumble into some bottles of Canebrake in Lafayette?

Or maybe they've been successful in Colorado and are re-investing to branch out?
I have to admit, I really enjoy that 471 IPA from Colorado Brewing. Unfortunately, Specs in Texas is the closest I can find it. Not here in Louisiana.

Rouses's on Bertrand. Marcello's on Johnston.

I missed the Pour Me Somethin' Mistah, and I still need to try the Parade Ground Porter

It's certainly possible, but it makes me wary. We have had some good new ones come in, like Clown Shoes and Brash Brewing, they aren't from Colorado, but that was just an example.

That's from Breckenridge Brewing, and they have been around over 20 years, so it's not like they are new and desperate to push their product.

Thanks for the correction.

Hopitulas is a main stay and still isn't available in most places. Canebrake bottles can hardly be found. I'm hoping both of these breweries pick up distribution soon. Would love to support them.

Hopitoulas is hit or miss in BR... Canebrake is pretty easy to find though.

Thanks! I'll give them both a call.

Would really be nice if they could sell directly to the consumer without restrictions. Parish Brewing has expressed interest in opening up their own tap room.

Boo, what is good from Clown Shoes?
All their highest rated beers seem to be stouts and imperial stouts.

I think their best beer is probably the Clementine 1.5, but I've enjoyed everything but their standard IPAs... you can find better IPAs around. The various stouts and the Hoppy Feet 1.5 are all good brews.

I am in Calandro's and Matherne's regularly (trying to fill up 2 teenage boys), and they have both had it pretty much 100% of the time since it came out in cans.

It's more of a production issue. Parish can't keep up with demand for Canebrake. They recently doubled their capacity in order to try. But those fermenters aren't cheap.

Sorry, I really meant on tap... cans are getting easier to find.
I did go to Burgersmith after the last AA meeting and they had Hopitoulas... so that was nice.
