I've only had the Scott location, but I will be passing all three locations this weekend and am definitely getting some for the freezer.

Are the other two locations as good, better, or worse? Should I try one of the other locations over the Scott location?

Thanks. I'll hang up and listen.

Pretty much all the same. The one in Krotz Springs is the original. Although, I’m not sure if that new location opened up next to the original one.

Kartchners ain’t a bad place either... it’s across the street. Their boudin is real good and some of their other stuff is as well. Boudin balls is where Billy’s is king....

If you are near the Scott location, go to Best Stop. I’ll eat Best stop all day everyday before Billy’s. Again, not the boudin balls. Also, best stop has the best andouille in and around the area, if not in the state. At least in my opinion it is. If they have the brisket, deer and steens fresh sausage available, its on point.

Live in BR, but I’m from Acadia Parish.

I'm pretty sure it is the same recipe at every location

I'm locked into Billy's because I'm getting some pepper jack boudin balls to take home, too.

I just wasn't sure if there was any real difference between the locations. Convenience it is, then!

Thanks, guys.

I think they are all the same. The key is to find the one with the shortest line.

Pepperjack egg rolls is where it's at! My grandpa swears by Best Stop but we went to both places in one trip on the way home from getting a smoker in Texas and both agreed Billy's boudin was better that day.

Krotz Springs because you can follow it up with jalapeño sausage bread from Bourque's in Port Barre.

I agree with this. The Billy's in Scott has a line that takes about 30 minutes to get through. In the Best stop, you are in and out quick. Also, I like their product better.

Hebert's Specialty Meats, Billy's, Kartchner's, Nunu's, Don's. In that order.

Those didn't even make it to Port Barre. I got my fat boy on in the car.

Billy’s pepper jack boudin balls are king of all the boudin balls.
Kartchner’s boudin, both regular and smoked are tops, especially the smoked.
Best stop smoked boudin is a close second to
kartchner’s.
Definitely grab some jalapeño sausage cheese bread from bourques

I prefer kartchners cream cheese jalapeño boudin balls to billys, but im obviously in the minority.

Billys egg rolls are killer though.

Good god, people! It's greasy filler wrapped around substandard pork/rice filler that pales in comparison to any of the boudin balls. Fat asses rule! I guess...
Let the down votes begin... :)

Pretty sure all the boudin is now made at their manufacturing facility in port barre. I may be wrong though.

I believe you are correct. There’s one manufacturing facility.
