I very rarely order steak at a restaurant, the best I’ve had is probably a ribeye from Mr John’s.

Doe's in Greenville is sooo food.

Also.. hadn't been in years but Mr. Lester's in the cypress bayou casino down in Franklin, LA was pretty top notch when I went.

think there needs to be a rare culmination of circumstances to make a meal (not just steak) really stand out from the crowd. Everything from the execution and presentation of the restaurant, to your own personal mood, hunger, company, etc.
I agree with this and my first time at Mr. John's was exactly a great combination.

Hals and Bones both in Atlanta. Both are tremendous and hard to put one ahead of the other.

We need a good Italian restaurant in the Elec area.

I really like Verona, but yeah, we could use another.

a few months ago i had an incredible Florentine steak in Tuscany .... was traveling solo, so shared it with a family seated near me because they only let you order the big cuts.

Can't believe I'm seeing a Moon's reference on TD. A Claiborne Parish institution, though it's actually Antioch community between Homer and Summerfield (home of the Mailman, Karl Malone). Real old-school charcoal grill flavor. Back in the day, they also did ribs which were excellent.

I've actually seen Moon's mentioned here many times over the years. It has a good reputation on the FDB

Easily Buckhorn Exchange. This was on the company dime. I had a Buffalo Ribye Blackened. At least 1 1/2 inch thick. It was amazing I could cut it with a fork. Seems like it was 50 or 60 bucks. Worth every dime. I would have paid 100 for this steak.
