We are doing Maypop for lunch Saturday, Peche for dinner Saturday, looking for somewhere to eat before the game Sunday. We want something more casual with a good pregame/bar atmosphere. Thanks!

I would imagine everything is going to be insanely packed. I went to Cellar Door before a game and it was some what chill with still a good atmosphere and decent small plates.

I’m just thinking the Borgne and Walk Ons will be impossible to get in and get a drink.

It actually may be closed on Sundays. This was a Monday game.

Are you trying to stay near dome?
If so:
Borgne
Johnny Sanchez
Company Burger

Little further towards river:
Meril
Emerils

We did Grand Isle before the Steelers game. Unbelievably great oyster po-boy.

Thank y’all! Anyone have an opinion on Lucy’s? Someone in the group just brought it up.

Not for food

Eat at Meril then walk right there to Lucy’s for the pregame

Ugly Dog on Andrew Higgins. Foods decent, good sports bar. Shouldn't be too packed and you can walk back to the dome if the weather cooperates.

Central City BBQ
Barcadia
Cellar Door is fine & generally goes unnoticed
Rock N Sake if your into that

Going from Peche & maypop to Lucy’s would be criminal

We went to Mr. Bs before the Pittsburg game and it worked out great.

One of my favorite places in the city.

It sounds like some of you don't drink in Mass quantities on game day. I would never go to a decent sit down lunch before a saints game. I would be thrown out immediately.

Sorry for the confusion. Planning ahead for next weekend’s 3:40 game on Sunday.

I've done the Palace Café on Canal a couple of times before games. Very good food at reasonable prices. Their fried oysters are some of the best I've eaten.
