I know Finn's is popular, and I frequent it as well as many of you. I also like Avenue pub, and it's bar food.

But I haven't tried any new places since 2010 that were bars with food.

Looking to get drunk and eat decent, any suggestions?

Hmm, I do like that place, I have friends that live right by it and we used to go a good bit.

best "bar food" these days are the food trucks, IMO. Food Drunk is a new one that is really really good. Foodie Call and La Cocinita not bad either.

Don't forget Killer Poboys taco joint at Molly's.

I'm a fan of Blue Oak

Co-workers went for lunch today. Still raving about it. It's a pretty solid food/bar set up.

Caveat, any good bar where you can order food to is a good option. A la Rusty Nail.

I've enjoyed Cocinita at 'Starlight Racing' and had Food Drunk at Finn's. I am hoping for the food truck scene to expand. Two years ago I was looking into it, but the rules were too restrictive.

Does Bouligny Tavern count as a bar? Oak? Delachaise?

Yep. I love his lunches.
I know he used to work at some high end place. Do you remember where?
