Yep. Had lunch at American Sector a month ago. Food was good. We didn't want to leave the site.

And the food is not bad there, either
Yea, I really enjoyed it when I went with my parents in October, on their visit.
I think it was reasonably priced too. Not completely sure, since I didn't pay the bill.

It's like half a mile from the Quarter, there are restaurants everywhere.

Better spots in the CBD and WH than the FQ.

About three blocks towards the river is cochon and cochon butcher. Butcher for sandwiches, snacks, and a couple of drinks. Cochon if looking for something more substantial
This advice holds for either lunch or dinner

Well . . . other than "you know where" Lord Fauntleroy.

As in most things, this is relative. For NOLA, it is a reasonably priced sit down meal.

More than a couple blocks and it's bad, overpriced food.

Very true, especially for downtown. Think my sandwich was in the low teens.
Cochon I remember being reasonable too. At least when I treated my parents years ago. A million apps, all about $9, and entrees in the low 20's.

Cap D'Ville is a couple blocks away and has pretty good bar food.
