SOAP

This is the first thing that came to my mind. I did a rewatch recently. It was hilarious and I still can't believe what they were able to get away with on that show almost 50 years ago.

I also didn't realize Soap and Golden Girls were both created by Susan Harris (mother of Sam Harris). You can see some proto-Golden Girls elements in Soap, like the women reminiscing in the kitchen over cheesecake.
I smoked one a few years ago. That was my first and last goose. It somehow managed to be dry and greasy at the same time. The meat was tough and had a strange taste I wasn't into. It had the added plus of being super expensive.

I guess it's possible I didn't cook it long enough. I know I brought it higher than 165 to render the fat. 180 or something. If you're going to do it I would recommend having some gravy or sauce on hand for sure.

To each his own but turkey is far superior IMO.

Some of my favorites have been mentioned. Others:

Alec Guinness
John Hurt
George Sanders
Roscoe Lee Browne
Brian Blessed
Ricardo Montalban
It’s easier to write a story set in a world without cell phones.
Teri Garr, Madeline Kahn and Cloris Leachman were all perfect in Young Frankenstein. Diane Keaton in Love and Death. Julie Hagerty was great in Airplane and Lost in America.
I love the The Clean and all his solo albums. “Living in Space” is my favorite on Frozen Orange. Check out The Clean Anthology if you haven’t heard that stuff.

He didn’t keep making the same style of music. That’s not the same thing as selling out. The early stuff is my favorite but I think Riptide and the Power Station record are great too, and they weren’t exactly conventional sounding at the time. I like the yacht rock middle years too. He was the man.

I don’t know. He has a certain “Cox Game Of The Week” thing going. He could do it.
That list would include everyone, potentially.
Those drums were a huge part of the Zeppelin sound and the last 2 albums were weak. Probably a good decision. I’m glad they weren’t around to do a hair metal record with Mutt Lange in 1986.

Tracyanne & Danny (self titled)
Cavern of Anti-Matter – Hormone Lemonade
Yo La Tengo – There’s A Riot Going On
Nap Eyes – I’m Bad Now

Sounds like more of a commentary on the audience, not the Beatles themselves.
I fell asleep during Rogue One and I wish I would have fallen asleep during Last Jedi, so Rogue One wins. Yay Rogue One.

I think the problem is too much focus on the hosts interacting with each other. Why should we care if host geisha kills host samurai or Delores double crosses host soldiers? Their motivations are at least partially programmed and they can be brought back to life. Seems like wheel spinning to me. On the other hand, Man in Black (past and present) and Bernard hiding his true nature among humans are interesting. Season 2 seems to have a story to tell, maybe just not enough of one.
I got tired of watching people in funny costumes throw balls of energy at each other to stop the evil genius/alien a long time ago. For the record, this doesn’t mean that I’m actually not tired of that. I really am.
One of my favorites is from Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

Great to see Quest for Fire mentioned. There should be move caveman movies.

And movies about cults. Ticket to Heaven is a good one from 1981.

The governor stuff was a major turn off.

If you think he was bad, you should see the current villain. He does a little dance when he talks and calls people "pee pee pants." He also took over our heroes' compound with a baseball bat. They didn't shoot him because they just didn't and they've continued to not shoot him for the past season and a half because they haven't.

I take that back. They shot him once but he stopped the bullet with his bat.

Also, he tortures his inner circle for breaking rules and steals their wives. They worship him for this. Oh, and sometimes he says "poo poo pants."

Great character.

If you like those I would check out Burnt Weenie Sandwich, The Grand Wazoo and Uncle Meat.
Probably not but if there is one my pick is Jaws.
I've always thought of the Beatles as great recording artists rather than great "musicians," although Paul might qualify for both. They were about songwriting, chemistry and studio innovation. The records still sound amazing.

That interview is nuts. Quincy has some great points buried among the weirdness, but if he were my grandfather I wouldn't let him talk to reporters anymore.

Fight scenes with people flying through the air. Movie fights used to look kind of like actual fights. Now everyone is a Bruce Lee/Baryshnikov that can avoid being shot by doing the limbo.

Lots of great ones mentioned. In no particular order:

Unforgiven
High Noon
High Plains Drifter

Wild Bunch could replace one of them. There Will Be Blood too, if that counts.

They will, and it still won't be the Saints. It was funny for a week or two but it went past pathetic a long time ago. The Falcons went to the super bowl last year while we won 7 games.
Just saw it. The movie with Luke and Rey was pretty good. The other movie with the little Asian chick and Laura Dern was boring and stupid. Things were a little too cutesy at times. It was better than Rogue One, for what that's worth. C-

Best Mexican Restaurant in Kenner?

I need to know. Anybody got opinions on this?
I thought this episode was a mess. It was hard to tell where, when and why things were happening and who was getting shot.

The king explains to Carol what he already explained while they spend the whole episode chasing one guy so he doesn't "warn them we're coming." Isn't that obvious at this point?

The Jesus/Tara conflict is the same crap we've heard a hundred times and totally out of place in the middle of a firefight.

Rick apparently left a baby to die. Then an insignificant character from 7 years ago returns and tells Rick he called the saviors. What? Where were they anyway? And aren't the saviors being overrun by walkers from the window attack?

There were some positives. The slow motion closeups were funny. Didn't have to see or hear Negan and people actually did things instead of standing around talking.
I wouldn't mind having a few of those O-linemen from '97 on this team.
