Not too surprising. Nobody wants to make it look like he's been talking to LSU for weeks and hadn't been focused on the ND job.

If anything positive happened from this search it is the total devaluation of unnamed “sources”.

Yes, The Athletic article confirmed he turned down the job in October and he informed Walker Howards family about declining it as well.

Kind of like Riley not have any contact with USC until Sunday morning on a zoom call and poof, the contract came together in minutes after that.

There is no logical reason for believing anything the media says right now. They were wrong until the last 30 minutes of this search at every turn
