This guy is a freaking Super Mega Baseball character.

This yellow area was the sweet spot for significant snowfall of most of the model runs for an entire week leading up to the NWS issuing this graphic Saturday morning. Now the entirety of the yellow shaded area all seems at some risk of not seeing any significant snowfall at all. Definitely going to be some FOMO for some folks in this area who were hoping for snow.

i will say, atleast the nfhs feed is really good this year. much much better than past years

Was a really impressive telecast, I watched some yesterday.

Just confirmed with someone who went yesterday that one ticket let him stay all day.

Good day of baseball tomorrow, will watch 11am games online then head over and catch Curtis Rummel then Sam WM.

I haven't been in a few years but if I leave work early to catch the 2pm games I can still stay for the 5:30pm games correct? Went to purchase tickets and saw it had each game individually instead of 1 general admission.

Why wouldn't his coach just play if he was the one telling him what to do?

Because the "coach" would be looking at a computer that tells him what move has the highest pct of winning at each turn... Something humans aren't capable of calculating.

Evacuating the nursing homes in DeRidder out of abundance of caution yesterday was eye opening for a lot of people. The nursing homes are all pretty centered in DeRidder and this thing would really have to get out of hand for them to ever realistically be in harms way.

The state has a ton of liability and they are absolutely making plans to serve the state. Good to see the community doing what needs to be done to to help their neighbors.

I don’t blame relief workers joking around some in a big situation like this - anyone who’s ever worked something of a huge magnitude like this understands the mentality- sometimes you gotta joke to get through it, it’s a coping mechanism

Absolutely not, and I don't think that was the intention of that guys post...

Lots of posts of all this equipment that has been brought in the last two days but has just been parked.

There has been an amazing outpouring of help from all different directions, and I don't claim to have the answers, it's an unprecedented situation. I was just pointed out that there were people who felt the decisions made last night were essentially to let their properties burn down and the state would do what it needed to do this morning.

frick whoever sent home the fire fighters. Thank God for the civilians who rallied together and got it done themselves.

It has become somewhat of a shite show since the state has taken over... Locals are becoming frustrated and starting to question the decisions being made. Lots of people calling for help all over my Facebook feed last night and people sharing stories of how roads are being blocked preventing anyone from helping.

It jumped a main road they were trying to kill eastward progression last night. They ordered big evacuation and supposedly ordered all fire departments out. There was an army of civilians that showed up soon with several dozers and tractors and about have it contained again for now. Crazy

Things got hairy for people to the east of the fires last night going towards DeRidder... Lots and lots of people tried to get in with equipment but were turned around and threatened to be arrested, some brave citizens cut through yards and neighborhoods and were able to cut enough trees and push enough dirt to spare several homes overnight.

It is and since we have a lot of experience with massive wildfires out here I'm going to post this again for any of you out there. I'm not sure if you guys are taught this stuff or not but there's no harm in posting. This is about creating a defensible space around your property from CalFire. Stay safe, good luck & God Bless.

Helpful post for sure... I've lived in this part of the state for 40 years and wildfires have never even crossed my mind. It's a historic drought and heat wave and thousands of acres of timberland is as dry as it's ever been.

We're prepared for hurricanes down here, not this at all.

After the showers cleared, I don't think it pushed as far north as I first thought. It is burning new ground, and Neale may have fire now.

Just got emergency alert that the fire jumped Neale Oilfield Rd and is headed north towards 190W

How does this happen?

Light poles aren't high enough, pop ups that get above lights during twilight and by the time you pick up the ball on the way down it's too late. Brutal way to end a really competitive series.

Apparently A&M lost two pop ups just like that last weekend as well.
Teams that practice/play under those lights can have a big advantage in those situations.

Is there any site that has the schools broken down by new classes or divisions?

Something that is getting overlooked in today's decision there are several schools playing in one Division in Football and playing in a higher Division in Basketball/Baseball. Each sport has an evenly divided 4 division split.

It's definitely more balanced I'll give them that.
