Im sure this has been discussed a million times but can anyone recommend a battery powered weed eater? Maybe one that will share a battery with a blower as well

Ryobi. But make sure you get the stronger blower. They have combo kits around Christmas but the leaf blower isn’t very powerful.

Milwaukee M18 tools all use the same battery. I've never had a weedeater easier to load new line in and the battery lasts long enough for me to trim and edge a full acre.

Do you have a brand of power tools. If so, I would go with that brand for maximum battery usage. I have Dewalt power tools and also have a Dewalt blower and weed eater, they get the job done for me.

I love my Kobalt 80V - it’s a beast.

I love it so much I still use it even though I also own a great gas trimmer.

Worx - I have their weed eater with brush cutter attachment, blower, portable air pump, vacuum cleaner, drill and multiple lights that all run off the same batteries. They have a ton of other items that work with the same batteries . Sam's Club has them now also.

Another vote for Kobalt 80v.

I’ve had mine for 3 years with zero issue so far.

I made the switch to Milwaukee and they exceed my expectations. The Trimmer and leaf blower is more powerful than same gas power.

Watch Home Depot for specials where they sell the tool with two batteries. I have more batteries now for all my Milwaukee tools than I can use.

If I had to go to battery powered trimmer and blower I'd go with the Echo 58V line. Trimmer already has Echo's excellent SpeedFeed head and the blower is legitimate, nearly a match for my tuned up PB-250LN.

Spinoff question about Milwaukee...

I have the M18 Fuel weed eater and blower. I have a 12.0ah and 9.0ah battery and I can barely finish my yard with both batteries from full charge. I hear about these guys that do an acre etc. on a single battery, but I can barely trim around my house and blow the driveway with 2 large batteries. I live on a .25 acre residential lot and basically weed eat the entire perimeter of my house/fence and then blow off the driveway after cutting. I start with the 12.0 battery, switch to the 9.0 when it dies and recharge the 12.0. I wind up finishing up with the 12.0 on about a quarter of a charge

What gives?
