Nope. No Burrow. No Brady. No joy.

Oh there were definitely folks on here who were touting him being able to repeat the success. Pathetic rubes.

No, I figured he was more likely to get arrested on a domestic charge or DWI

Not totally but I definitely didn't expect him to go 5-5 and 4-4

I didn’t think he would win one period. Damn sure didn’t expect another. Outside of the Orgeron apologist, the entire world knew it was lightening in a bottle.

You are a first string Arm Chair QB.

I did not think it would go well chasing 2019's ghost. That being said, I thought that meant a 7-5 2022 or a second 8-4 in a row in 21-22 and he'd be gone. Things had to go to complete hell for it to happen in 16-17 game.

Before the pandemic opened the door to “opt-outs” 2020 was going to be a pretty strong team.

Brennan throwing to Chase/Marshall/Boutte alone would have been pretty unstoppable.

Even with Pelini, Vincent and Shelvin would have changed that defense.

It’s not a stretch to think we could have gone 10-2 or 11-1 in a normal year.

No, but I definitely did not expect him to be a national embarrassment...

Coach O problem after 2019 was predicable; He didn't have a QB ready to go like Les Miles and Brady left and wasn't replaced with someone of quality.

Probably not. Figured we would have rode those coattails for a season or two, but that didn't really turn out too good.

That night I thought anything was possible....I had just finished watching a dream season, hammered down victory shot after victory shot and high fived frickin Rashard Lawrence on Bourbon street....at that moment I felt like I could lead the tigers to another natty

The night we beat Clemson I felt good about the program. I didn’t think we’d win another the following year but I thought he’d sustain the level of success. Go to a decent bowl, etc.

The wheels quickly came off the following season and since then, we’ve been grinding on just the axles.

I agree....he made some very poor coaching hires and way too many off the field issues that were not addressed..
He will never be a head coach again but he may work in football in some capacity...he let his dream job slip away due too stupidity..
