Did anyone legitimately expect O to win another natty after 2019?

Hindsight is 20/20, but did anyone have a real and true belief that O could replicate the recipe he concocted in 19?

No, but not many thought he'd crash and burn as bad as he is doing it now.

They couldn’t practice in full pads on a bye week.

We have fallen for from worrying about another championship.

I honestly thought he learned from his immense failures earlier in life. Should've seen the red flags with all the 2020 offseason pumping up of the new coordinators, the tom catting bullshite etc. Once MSU beat down occurred, I knew I had bought the snake oil.

O has always been a jackass and now he is an incredibly rich jackass

I didn't see him winning the first one. In fact I thought he was gonna run the program into the ground. So, after 2019, I tried to be as open minded as possible.

Chances are Orgeron ends up in jail with that pocket-full of money.

I'd say it's even-money he does something really stupid.

Why not? It happened once. We're only a complete set of coordinators/assistances away as it stands...

I figured we’d compete for one in 2022 with Max (or at the time TJ) as a Junior, Nuss as a sophomore and our 5* freshman coming in along with the ‘20 recruiting class being juniors, eg, Kayshon, Ricks, our #1 and # 2 ranked sophomore safeties, etc.

Talent should have been there. This crash and burn certainly was not expected. And who knows, with good coaching and some key transfers, maybe they’ll turn it around sooner than later. New coach obviously being the key.

But sure, why wouldn’t we have expected to compete once our QBs got some experience with the talent we thought we had coming in?

Event the following year, before Covid hit anyway, they were still talented and Miles only needed to throw for about 80% of Joe to compete. Who knew the coordinators would suck so bad? Anyway…hindsight.

I didn't think he could produce 2019 so I did not know what sort of expectations to have until I saw 2020. THen I didn't know if COVID was the issue. The UCLA game quickly had me right back to pessimistic expectations, which is actually not typical for me.

I gotta be honest.

No way.

The 2020 season was starting and the LSUfootball imstagram posted a video.

It was Myles running out to practice hyping the team up. That like “greatness starts today”. And the vibes just were not there.

Nope I knew he’d eventually show his true colors I didn’t think he’d have completely shite the bed quite so fast. From a championship to a 500 record then a losing season ,first in 21 yrs. he’s failed rather impressively
