They’re not even removing trees from power lines here off Gold Place in st Amant. Good many of us don’t even have city water. So no power and no water.

431 has power the surrounding streets do not. We’ve still hot trees on lines and of course not a tree removal crew in site

Parents in Ascension are apparently not happy that they're going back on Wednesday...really shocked me, figured they'd happily ship them to school. I'm hearing they're contacting Chris Nakamoto lol

Why? Wouldn't you want some normalcy that school brings? If the can safely get the busses down the roads and the school has power, why not?

Agreed. People need to relax. If the kids can get back to normal Wednesday, they need to.

FYI, Donaldsonville has power. At least Hwy 308 S does.

I have water. I charge my water pump with my generator every time the pressure gets low.

Come on man. What are you gonna do when shite really gets bad?

Electric crews in curve at 431 and Lake Martin.

Tree crews went through this morning and cleared the power lines on L Keller and Butch Gore.

We are getting close to power being restored.

Frick DEMCO. I’m off of Causey Rd behind Delaunes and everybody around us has had electricity for 3 days now. I would love to know what the issue is.

Not far from you. Same boat. Zero tree or line crews in our neighborhood to date. My particular street is buried but the adjacent neighborhood is poles with tree damage. You’d think perhaps there would be some progress? I might punch the next person who asks “You StiLl DoNT hAvE PoWeR?!?”

Interesting that our councilman hasn’t posted anything on social since prior to the storm. Complete information lockdown - nothing on debris pickup, power restoration, anything.

I have a friend who lives in Pelican Crossing and he heard it will be another 3-4 weeks without power due to the substation being destroyed and not being able to get parts to fix it

Yeah this is what we are “unofficially” hearing, which is why everyone is so pissed off. Not because of the restoration time, but because there is no clear message from Entergy. Everyone is being told a different answer. There are people in these neighborhoods without generators and/or window units who need to make preparations if the power will be out until the end of September.

So do all schools have power? Found it odd that schools are starting back on Wednesday when there are thousands in the parish still without power

My kids school (Lakeside Primary) just got power this evening but we don’t have it yet. Neither does a shite ton of others in the area. But don’t worry, they’ve told us kids will be virtual until everyone gets power back. Virtual, as in on the computer and WiFi. Without power. I’m not running the generator all damned day long and burning through all that gas just so my kid can “attend” school because the fricking superintendent wants to start school when thousands are still without power. I’ve already spent more than enough money on gas.

not sure who told you that but the only way they will be virtual in Ascension is if they are out for covid. They are opening up the BLP option for parents who don't want to send their kids to school. Those schools that don't have power the students will be sent to another school until power can be restored.
