Baseball and women's basketball losing more than women's rowing is just about inexcusable. What is the purpose of even fielding those teams if they're going to be that much of a money drain?
Well those two sports probably have a much larger overhead than rowing as well. That’s not really comparing apples to apples. Baseball tickets are very cheap and I assume women’s basketball tickets are cheap as well. Probably lower than baseball.

He’s bad like really bad.
Yes Baylor player and any European professional player. Auburn has one on their roster. There are currently 25 professional players playing college basketball now.

The punishment could simply be no NCAA tourney.
They can’t do this either. Look as long as they allow professional European players to play you can’t create unfair rules that prohibit American players under the same circumstances to not play. Down vote all you want but it doesn’t mean that the above statement is incorrect. Bediako is not even the first American player to do this

Bama football will not live up to the Bama standard until Deboer is gone
When will some of you understand the Bama standard y’all are looking for is dead and gone with NIL and transfer portal. That’s history. The 2015/2016/2020 rosters would be worth 70 million plus in today’s market. Bama will never again assemble that amount of talent. If that is what yall are looking for and churning out multiple natties in a decade find another hobby because you’re going to be pissed off more years that not.
re: Charles Bediako Suing NCAA for immediate Eligibility.
Posted by labamafan on 2/6/26 at 1:38 pm to Diego Ricardo
I have a question from a legal standpoint regardless of whether you support him or think he should be ineligible.
1. The NCaa currently allows European player to play professionally and then have four years eligibility to play college ball but not American players.
2. They are arguing that he is outside the five years eligibility window but we see CFB players with 6 and 7 years of eligibility. How is any of this different from Bediakios situation?
Not from a fan perspective but legally speaking.

OL. OL OL and then DL that’s all I care about. If those two look good the rest will work itself out.
re: Does anyone actually think a healthy, experienced Ty Simpson wouldn’t have won the Heisman
Posted by labamafan on 1/31/26 at 5:22 pm to BamaBravesPackers
I think if we had a somewhat competent OL he would nt be beat to shite and I could give a trickles if he won the heisman. Bama wouldn’t have gotten there crap pushed in 2/3 last games. Maybe they win and maybe they don’t but at least it wouldn’t have been an embarrassment.

So you're saying Alabama is poor?
Poor no but they don’t have any billionaire boosters either. They don’t have the money that many sec schools do.

The Jameis situation was specific to what a goof he is. Knowing what you know about Jameis can you imagine him coexisting with Saban
That was the last time I ever melted regarding college football and specifically recruiting.

Maybe not intentional, but definitely a slap at Hurts
How in the hell does your mind go there?
I think all the hand wringing over QBs is not necessary. DeBoer has shown the ability to recruit the position very well. If they have the right pieces and depth pieces for the OL I think everything will fall in to place. As good as the defense was this year they’d have been even better with a complimentary offense that could could control the game with a dominant run game like we saw with Indiana. Outside of Pounds that DB they were not a team of elite talent they just played together very very well.

Troll. JC Hausenauer former Alabama OL at Alabama played under him at Pittsburg. said he is an excellent coach, great recruiter and technique coach outstanding at breaking down pass rushers.
I remember when Joe Pendry was hired and everyone melted down because Saban hired an old man that had been fired from an NFL team.

But, what nobody seems to want to address is the fact that Kalen has lost too many games where he was favored by more than two TD's by teams that were ranked lower in the AP and composite rankings.
On no make no mistake that’s been fully addressed. It’s not acceptable. Not the loss but the manner in which they lost was the biggest issue. My only point is we can’t compare what coaches do in this era bs what was happening just 5/6 yrs ago. It’s not a fair comparison and a lot of this is out of the coaches hands now. With NIL and portal a coach is absolutely limited by the funds available at their university and also the funds that the university is willing to spend. Ohio state in operating in the red since NIL and I can promise you they have much more money that Alabama does.

The only thing is none of the former coaches had to deal with NIL, unlimited transfer portal when they took their jobs. DeBoer not only had to replace the GOAT but he had to do with his roster being poached once Saban retired. Also
Nick Saban inherited Andre Smith LT, Antoine Caldwell C, Mike Johnson G n an OL left by Shula. Believe it or not Shula left Saban better trench players that Saban left DeBoer. DL was Lorenzo Washington and Josh Chapman I think it was. All of those guys played in the NFL for a while.

Elijah is a tall kid. Dad is a tall thin guy as well. Dunham is recently a good football program but they’re not a school like Catholic High of Baton Rouge which is loaded with D1 talent. Point is he will look like a man amongst boys in that private school division. He is a really good player and a great kid and family assuming that hasn’t changed since I had brief interaction with his family almost 7-8 yrs ago. I actually thought when LsU hired Lane that might change his outlook with LSU.
Welp that started Kap is gone I heard speculation that Huff would be brought in as TE coach but that’s only speculation he and the OC would help Kap along with coaching OL. Apparently that’s not happening.

I thought there was speculation LeBron was moving to center field or did I make that up in my mind?
I am. I love baseball. My favorite sports. I played through high school at a south Louisiana high school know for its baseball tradition and have coached and umpired more than half my adult life.
