re: Skip Bertman: RIP

Skip Bertman and Ron Polk not only did great things for their respective schools but made all SEC teams begin taking their baseball programs seriously and putting effort into improving their programs. They really put college baseball on the map in the southeastern conference.
This is the dumbest nonissue I have ever seen.
I’m
Just looking for consistent OL play knowing where to be and who to block and not seeing guys go untouched. I want to see RB who actually can see the hole and hit it and I want to see a dominant DL that’s not getting pushed off the ball this year.

like to see a hungry team dominate over 4 quarters to easily cover the -28.5 point spread vs a non-P4 in a game 1 tune-up game.

ECU is not some crap team in a crap conference They actually have some dudes and two transfer QBs from Power 4 schools I belie if I heard correctly. I’m not saying Bama doesn’t win but this is not some UT Chattanooga team. I don’t think Bama covers a 28.5 pt spread.

think Bama fans are having a bit harder of a time because they're still coming off the Saban high. In some ways, Saban somewhat insulated Bama from the worst of the nonsense.

I think this part of the younger fan bases problem. My son is 19. All he’s ever known was Saban. Some of us older fans aren’t as into CFB as we have been but that been the last 5 yrs for me. Of course I’m 52 so as a lot of you as you get older you’ll quit following a bunch of kids as well. I still watch Bama play every Saturday unless we have something important going on but I do remember when I was younger me and my buddies watched CFB all day long from game day until the last games. Those were good times.

Some of this is delusion in your part but I’ll say this Auburn will not be a soft team under him.

In other words, Bama is one of the poors.

Correct alabam has always survived and dominated on history and tradition of winning. Congrats on buying your national championship.
No. This was expected this year. Next years class is shaping up to be top 5. Alabama can’t play the NIL game that many of the major programs can. So far this staff has done a good job of finding under evaluated players that fit scheme and and of playing well.

Yeah he picked lsu to win sec.
It’s CNBC. No one believes their bullshite drivel anyway.
If they lied they’ll just transfer out after the season anyway.
The Clemson arse stomping is number 1 for not even remotely preparing the team. Second is Cam back. I don’t give a damn who the QB is you don’t blow a more than 3 TD lead with that defense. Horrible job of coaching that game.

lsu fans are really ignorant. Trying to talk shite while being on the list

If they’re not first on the ref bitch list then the list is shite.
LSU. They have sucked since 2019. They went out and spent 45 mill on a roster and Lanes personality matches that braggadocios bunch. He will fit right in at LsU. They don’t care who he screws and he can get drunk as he wants. If he wins they don’t care what stupid shite he says.
I’ll be impressed when I see him consistently use his hands to catch the football. He is stronger than before based on pictures posted but I’ve never seen a 5 star receiver catch the ball with his chest.
Does anyone know what the story is. I’ve seen the charges but who did he kidnap and why? It just seems strange that’s not a common crime committed by ordinary citizens.
Everyone hates Lane until he’s their coach. They dogged him like everyone else. They’re just tired of being a whipping boy in the sec. It changes your perspective at least until or unless he does something stupid.

Can the defense be more stout vs the run?

I believe our offenses inability to run led to a lack of run game defense late in some ball games.

Old school maybe but I think bringing in talented guys retaining your roster, developing and having an older team is the way that teams in Alabamas NIL range will sustain success. Similar to Indiana because I can promise you they didn’t have near the talent that Alabama did and they beat us like a rented mule along with everyone else.
