re: College Baseball Top 25 4-6-26

Seeing Georgia and Alabama ranked ahead of the likes of LSU, MSST, Arkansas, Vanderbilt and TN in baseball is bizarre. You’d think this was a CFB poll. I’m enjoying the hell out of this season but can’t help but hope the wheels don’t fall off.

Considering bama has been covering for this piece of shite human
Yalls head coach was a human trafficker and would still be there if he could win games.
Breaking news rich schools buy best players and now claim dominance.

Bama both look for real
Bama has to figure out their offense. Pitching has been great but they score their runs in the first 3 and nothing afterwards. I think at least 2 of their runs were on PB/WP

Maybe in basketball don’t know much about that but in baseball when a kid is pushing like he is. Some down time can help you clear your mind.

17 sec wins gets Bama a regional. 13 wins will probably get them in.
Great job winning series but this team is so frustrating. You can see they are right there to being an elite team but they just can’t quite get there. We have two consider hitters right now in Neal and Fowler but LeBron is not seeing the ball at all. I’d sit him midweek and let him get his head straight. At this point it’s mental. There’s no way Platt or whoever they’ve been using as DH needs to hit. The kid they used today swings the shite out of it.
This is a bad offensive team. The pitching has been phenomenal this season. Too many sub 270 hitters on this team.
HTF do you not tag on that. Ball to right to fence and he’s still sitting in second.

I agree. Last night they were jumping on first pitch and aggressive, then we started watching and the bats cooled. It carried over today. I know we had ten hits but that was spread out and none timely except for Bryce’s single. LeBron might need to sit a bit and get out of his head. He should have hit into 4DP the last two games but he is so very fast he beats the throw out.

Did I miss something or was that short pop up clearly a foot inside the 3rd base line and the ump called it foul?
Doesn’t matter. Ball bounced in foul territory where it was touched by player foul ball. Had that ball landed in fair territory past third base then bounced foul it would be a fair ball.
3-1 Oklahoma. Bama has the worst DH in college baseball.

Not saying they aren’t but the offense went completely dead after 3rd inning.

Not Bamas best outing. Sticks went cold after first three innings. Hated a few of the players approaches. We were super aggressive and then started watching pitches. Well everyone except Neal.

So does Kirby, Kiffin and other coaches. Bama and Georgia were beat to shite last year. Now we add a 9th conf game and Alabama for sure has a home and home with Ohio state the next two years. The conf cg have run their course.
If they can take 2/3 in home series and 1/3 on the road they can get to a regional.

Agree and longer basepaths. The bases are so close that by the time you field an infield ground ball the runner is on top of the bag.

No idea if this team can get to Omaha but they are playing a fun brand of baseball right now. They are so gritty.

Problem is, I’m pretty sure EVERY WBB in the SEC loses money. Even South Carolina. I know Byrne has to be a good steward of the budget but supposedly every year Bama athletics is in the black. If so, maybe spend a bit more? I would assume we could spend a bit more.
If we want the money to spend on non revenue sports the best thing Bama could do in my opinion is spend more on elite trench players and get back into the final four of CFB playoffs every couple of years and spend more on men’s basketball and get to the final four again. Those two sports bring money in consistently. Baseball would be 3rd in my list then women’s softball. This is all my opinion of course I don’t see bamas expense reports or anything obviously

You’re not going to hire like that when you program loses 5 million a year. Not being a jerk about it but it has to make business sense
