None of this will get fixed until larger schools have to cancel something besides Olympic sports. Once a large university cancels baseball or girls softball then people will finally wake up and make the necessary changes. Honestly if they removed the 21 age limit or rather three years removed from high school and allowed the players to enter the draft and came up with a reasonable amount that all universities could afford to pay I’d be great with that. Yes CFB would lose a lot of talent BUT you’d be left with kids who lived the universities and stuck around for more than a year long contract.
I think 61% of pictures challenged by catchers has been overturned but only 44% for hitters challenging. I’ll say this the stat looks bad but when you see the challenge a lot of them is a ball that’s less than an inch outside the zone. I don’t know if that’s a true measure of the officiating of balls and strikes. I mean these umpires are trying to judge 98 mph fastballs by eye. A lot of overturns but a computer graphic is going to be fam more accurate than the human eye.
Oklahoma is destroying these umpires especially home plate.

We’d be in even worse shape. Saban was the greatest. He could not take the pace of what needed to be done to stay competitive. He couldn’t hire good coaches any longer because everyone knew his time was drawing close. Enjoy the 17yr run and quit whining that he’s no longer at Alabama. Why would you expect sympathy from a board full of fans who watched him push their crap in for 15 yrs and probably cost at least three sec teams from winning national titles that would have been there’s if he never came to Alabama.

Hanging out in the west coast = more soft and finesse. More of the same. Deboer is never going to understand Saban (alpha dog) toughness.
He is not Nick Saban. There is no other Nick Saban. Quit asking him to be someone he is not and let him be who he is and let’s see what he gets done. You can’t fake who you are. It’s disingenuous and the players see straight through it.
re: On 9/19, who has the most pressure on them? Golding or Kiffin?

[quote]Definitely Golding. He was handed a playoff team and he’s playing at home week 3 against a brand new team. If he loses, that fanbase will never forgive him and he will definitely be fired by mid year
Ole Miss doesn’t have a 40 million dollar roster either.

This is the dumbest fricking thread I’ve seen on here and that saying something.

Complete and utter garbage. Whoever created that image should be embarrassed. Honestly seems like the numbers were made up out of thin air on the spot. Not one school seems to be even remotely correct.
Actually these are public record numbers. I thought Texas was 156 million though. This to me shows that there needs to be a more similar model to the NFL with salary cap. Fact is few if any of the other sec schools can match that number. There needs to be a salary cap.

Embarrassing performance at the plate
These games happen. That pitcher is unhittable tonight. That’s baseball.
To be fair we said the same thing about the 12 and that has not happened. This will revitalize bowl games if they do it correctly.
None ever since 1992.
re: If Lane Kiffin goes missing we know who suspect #1 will be

My first assumption would be someone’s husband found out.

And if I did, it better be “your pitch” in “your spot.
Well yes of course. But 3-0 and no where to put runners they’ve got green light. Thats also why depending on situation I sometimes will not steal a runner to second with 3-5 coming up. If you open a base pitchers will not give in but if you know you’re putting a runner in scoring position to throw around a great hitter pitchers tend to not throw around hitters.
I think sitting may have helped LeBron. I wanted them to pull him earlier in the year. Sometimes great hitters start pushing too hard when they’re struggling and sitting and watching can help get their head straight.
Any of my big hitters have green light on 3-0 unless they are struggling. Fowler, Neal and LeBron would all have the green light.

don't even think the perception is fair, but it definitely exists.
But it’s an unfair stereotype that is perpetuated by the national media and the north. It’s unfair and it’s about time we let this crap die. It’s not happening now at a systemic level at any of these southern universities and these colleges even pre NIl have done worlds to improve the lives of students of all races and religions. True or not it is something Lane should have kept to himself and Sark should just shut the frick up. Texas has more built in advantages than any university in the sec and he has dick all to show for it. 156 million in donations and that was for the 24/25 season. Next closest was TN at 110million. Alabama and LSU came in 4th and 5th with only a million separating the two.
Need 2 this weekend and sweeping would be perhaps the final nail to getting a possible super if Bama makes it past regional.
Update. Last time I turned a game in we started crapping our pants.
They released the sec athletic donations today
Texas 156 million
Tennessee 110 million
Alabama came in 4th at 66million
LSU 5th with 65 million. This was for the 24/25 season. So you know it’s even worse now especially LSU. They just dumped 40+ million on football this cycle.
Yeah this is a completely unfair model that exists now.
