Not sure which board this belongs on, but what is everyone's thoughts? I am on the Northshore and was leaning to riding it out, but it seems to be slowing down, which sucks.

I'll be paying close attention to this storm. If tonight's update is what I expect, we'll be leaving at 4 AM tomorrow. There's a large eddy current that is extremely warm, and if this system continues to slow, I believe it will end up being a Cat 4 or 5 at landfall.

Gulf temp was in the low 90's out of fourchon a few weeks ago. With no storms yet to cool it down I'm more worried about this one than usual. Not sure if I have enough beer.

Anyone here in North LA? I'm in Monroe right now and have no clue how bad it usually gets out here. From BR so I'm assuming I'm better off but I've only lived here for 2 months so far.

I'm across the river, we usually get 40-60mph winds and nothing real severe. I have seen some Cat 1 winds this far north but not usually.

My brother lives right north of Monroe.

Expect possible tornados and wind and rain.

I really have not been keeping up. I have been tied up on a project at work that I just about have wrapped up.

Do I need to try to convince my in-laws on the west bank of JP to evacuate or is it not expected to be too bad in the NOLA area.

Northshore here too and not leaving. Far enough away from the lake and 30' above sea level, so storm surge isn't a threat to me. Far enough from the rivers to not be worried about being trapped by flooding. No trees close enough to fall on my house. Worst thing I have to worry about is if the storm spawns off a bunch of tornadoes or the power being out for an extended period of time.

Riding it out in BR. Hoping it stays further west so that the camp in venice off pass a loutre has a chance to make. Made it thru the K storm barely.
