I am in Raceland and debating leaving. My wife volunteered to evacuate with her nursing home to Maurice. I have 2 kids, 15 and 12, 2 dogs, 4 cats and a duck. Not sure which hotel would allow me in. Maybe I will build an arc!

I also have 2 generators (1 gas 1 natural gas) 25 gallons of gas, a 4000 watt inverter with 4 charged batteries and 4 box fans. Now I need to make sure I have enough beer.

Denham Springs. Riding it out. Like another guy said, because of the gulf conditions and it's change in speed this could be one of the biggest hurricanes we have ever seen at landfall.

Lake Charles, got lots of beer. Unless it turns real hard west I'll be fine.

SW Harrison Co, MS - few miles N of the beach. Right now we're on the far edge of the cone, but I've seen this play out too many times. Lots of big oaks around the house is my usual concern. Don't plan on going anywhere, but may send the family north if it shifts.

I rode out Betsy in 65 and Katrina in 05, both of which caused considerable flooding, so I plan to ride out this one.

I'll keep an eye on it to see if it strengthens enough to make me reconsider.

Riding it out in Ponchatoula. Got 3 cases of beer. A case of water, about 10 bottles of bourbon, and 10 packs of fish.

In Opelousas. I see no reason for me to leave at the moment. Got the generator ready. Just finished cutting the grass. About to go get booze. Best of luck to everyone.

Currently Nola with a full tank of fuel in the generator. If I make a move it will be to Covington to a whole house generator.

Got a fresh keg for draft beer.

Got my fancy beer.

Got my cans if we need to go remote to help work and stay hydrated.

Got a few bottles of bourbon and liquor for if shite HTF.

Got that backup stash if we run out of anything.

24KW whole home generator in Baton Rouge and we will be staying put.

I’m in Ascension and I always ride it out. It’s my place and I’m not leaving it for someone else to deal with it.

I did get all my shite outta Grand Isle tho!

In Avoyelles. Just had my transfer switch installed two weeks ago. Plenty gas, ice, water and food Mowed the 4 acres today and finished the front porch decking. Riding it out. Hopefully it won’t be to bad here. May end up being another Gustav for Avoyelles.

Me too! That’s impressive. Riding it out in Baton Rouge. Was here for Gustav, hoping we will be ok for Ida.
