My buddy lives near west napoleon and Severn intersection. Closest I know of to Clearview and vets. He said power down at 4pm and water pressure up and down. No flooding he has seen, some trees down he can see from window.

Good news is the new style structures they erected in my area after Laura are fricking beasts.

Big giant H style . Not even a power blip for delta a few weeks later. Significant upgrades were done.

Lost it for 24 hours after Delta and that was it.

No.

My home is in Cut Off. I am expecting the worse, but praying for a miracle.

@NWSNewOrleans

We have received multiple reports of significant flooding in Laplace. The eastern eye wall of #Ida is affecting the area now, with sustained hurricane force winds likely occurring. Take whatever means are necessary to protect your life!

So after a 2 hour complete interwebs blackout, I pulled out the generator and fired it up.
Got my 2 fridges, some fans and my data cabinet back online.
Looks like the eye is due east of Dutchtown now on the other side on Gonzales.
for us but we are praying for our brothers and sisters to the east.

Night all.

I’m not sad to see another 29 August leave.

Good luck to you all, and to me.

Yes, a barge took out one of the towers from the Nine Mile Plant that supplies power to the east bank. Supposedly took nine months to build, but not all aspects will need to be re-done.

Didn't LaPlace get wrecked in 2012? I can't remember when that last major flood happened there.
