shite can be rerouted, the whole countries electrical grid if connected in some way, they will figure something out quickly, even if it’s a temporary fix. That power plant isn’t that old, they can surely switch from other places

Can they not run those lines along the CCC (Or the Huey P since that's near where the tower was)? I don't know shite about running lines but it would make more sense than giant towers.

ransmission lines going across property and ones tall enough to go across the largest river in the hemisphere are two different things.
I talked to some of the lead Entergy guys after Laura. We lost 30+ Transmission line towers and there were only twelve in the country that they could get their hands on. Everything was shut down for the “pandemic”.

The towers and transmission lines were the last thing replaced in our area. Power was rerouted and poles and local lines took precedent. You guys will have power way before that tower gets replaced.

Anyone have an approximate location? We haven’t been able to get in touch with my MIL for a few hours and my wife’s nervous.

Yes, a barge took out one of the towers from the Nine Mile Plant that supplies power to the east bank. Supposedly took nine months to build, but not all aspects will need to be re-done.
The tower of terror. However this map shows two towers on the Westbank so maybe that can reroute to the one good tower while that fix the other one.

The tower

Wait man. It sucks but worth it. Don't take a chance on something going wrong.

Neighbor did that during Laura and fricked up his generator somehow. Not sure if it got wet or he did something wrong. Started smoking and the surge caused the wall he was plugged into to smoke as well.

No need tonadd to your problems if you don't need to

No, you can’t attach high voltage lines to a bridge for a lot of reasons.
