I was in the Air Component Coordination Element and worked as a Liaison Officer in the FUPLANS section at IJC HQ from July 2010 - Jan 2011.

Also flew combat sorties over it in 2002, 2006, 2016, and 2017.

2003-2004, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. And a couple of other stans bordering. Held up in a couple of FOBs in the north and east but mostly operated out of Kabul and K2. Best and worst times of my 30+

I got to the B-52 just after 9/11. I may have crossed paths with him at the end of his career. Don’t want to ask his name, but do you know what he was doing in the last few years of his career and where he was stationed?

Major Wolfhound, that was a promotion or two back huh?

I landed at Bagram and Kandahar a couple dozen times operating out of the Deid. Doesn’t really count.

His initials are CE. Retired as a Lt Col. You are a small community so I am sure you may know him. IIRC he served as a Radar Nav instructor. He spent a great deal of his time at Barksdale and was also stationed in California (not sure which base - I am retired Army). Finished his career doing staff work in the NCR. Now is retired and working as a contractor for DoD.

Two more baw. Very blessed. Never would have thought a young, stupid punk from Baton Rouge/Broadmoor High School would have ever have made it as far as I did.

Wow. I bet you hear some horrific stories. Things I can't even probably imagine.

My days are typically TBI and PTSD, but nothing compared to those who lived it.
