I loved them. They are a desert version of the jungle boot. Very comfortable actually.

We played Neville in the quarters in 1980 (Bubby Brister pitched against us) but Broadmoor was in the tourney that year. Was just curious.

Thank you to those how served. We have a volunteer-professional military. Everyone who served in Afghanistan did so freely.

The biggest thing that messed with my mind in Afghanistan, besides the obvious, was the damn 30 minute time offset.

Afghan time was 1:30 ahead of Arabian Standard (Iraq/Kuwait) time.

Damn I love those boots. Still have them, despite the permanent sewage smell from my Turkey rotation.

Retired Marine, 88-2008. Served in desert shield/storm, Somalia and Iraq but not Afghanistan. Did a tour on MSG as well.
