Commercial pilots usually start with the regional airlines which don't pay well. Pilots also spend a lot of time away from thier families.

Hot chick in Technology channel marketing for an established company. $150-200k for being retarded and sending a few emails a day, sitting in on a few calls.
Holy crap this.
They get on zoom calls and marketing conferences, put their cameras on to introduce actual technical people and then turn their cameras off till they close this meeting.
They have to know nothing about the product except a few buzz words.

I’m not even talking about sales reps. I’m talking about channel marketing personnel. These are hot chicks that supposedly manage relationships between the company that produces the solutions and the resellers who face customers.

Wholesaler sales
There may be long hours.
But the retail level does all of the difficult work and carries all of the risk.
It is practically a racket.
I always tell my kids that the richest people either sell hope or fear.
Lead generation marketers is pretty cush.
Corporate headhunters are overpaid.

I despised these people when I was in the travel business. They're grifters.

It’s even worse in cloud computing. They can’t even explain the difference between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, let alone the technical requirements that vary between static and dynamic hosted websites.
There was one marketing manager my engineering team had a Zoom call with that actually had no clue that utility/consumption based pricing was how my company’s pricing structure worked within the SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments and thought SLA’s were standard practice. My reaction was “how the frick did this chick get hired, must be nepotism at its finest”
