Those Diamondback frames are sweet.

I have had great intentions on building a chinese carbon from the ground up, but the prices of reputable brands with QC like Yoeleo just dont make it worth it.

Slightly OT but I am in dire need of a new saddle. I currently have a Cobb V Flow Max which is awesome but falling apart and discontinued. Open to any recs. Im super skinny with no arse, never measured my "sit bones" but I can only assume they are narrow.

Similar story. Found a hairline crack on my trusty aluminum Scott so I stopped riding for a while. Then found a Specialized Venge Frame and transferred the components from the Scott over. I however never really got the derailleurs right and re-componeted the whole bike to Ultegra R8000. Went to 11-speed cassette at the same time. Made some other upgrades while the hood was up. Had a shop dial it in and it’s been a really enjoyable ride for me.

All that said I am jonesing for a ‘19 or ‘20 S-Works Venge or new Aethos Di2 bike. Wifeunit is killing the dream though, lol.

By the way, first ride with Sidi’s yesterday. Also changed saddles to a Selle SP-01 Boost Superflow. Sidis are huge improvement. Saddle is great because it’s padded. My other saddle, Aspide, is carbon fiber no padding. My a$$ is too old for that nonsense.

I run an SMP Forma (no padding) on the road bike and SMP Dynamic (minimal padding) on gravel

Thanks for the compliments of the TT frame. Everyone always mentions it. I havent rode it in 2 years, was suppose to use it for TT racing but that all fell through. Hopefully next year ill be back on it,

Co worker used to use a cobb Flow max and now he uses a SMP Well and swears by it.

Try a Fizik Arione or their Tri Transiro. Usually a shop has these purple and gold test models they will loan out or put on a bike for you to test. I've known a couple of people go from Cobb to Fizik or vice versa.

The reason I say Arione even though it's a road saddle is because they made a Arione Tri saddle that was similar. Only the cushioning was a little different. I've been riding that one for about 16 years and easily 15k+miles on it. I'm a skinny, narrow, no arse guy too.

I can only ride Fizik on my tri bike. I'm a Brooks guy on everything else on the road.

I’ve actually debated switching my road bike to single speed as well. But i do some odd riding in Arkansas and Texas that sometimes i need small ring. I may end up building another bike eventually.

Hoping the sky clears for another ride this evening. I hate trainers.

Got the Retul bike fit tomorrow

Let me know how this goes. I was looking into it the other day.

I went and did the fit and I'm kind of torn on it for the price. Had some good interaction with the guy doing it as far as learning about positioning, etc. but not sure it's worth the price. Not sure what I was expecting but all he really did to my bike was adjust the seat height and flipped the bars. That said, one of my main reasons for going is that my left hand gets numb when riding and it's still happening post fit.

That said, the set up is top notch and the documentation/measurements will probably be pretty useful going forward.

Look at it this way…. Your fit may not have been that off to begin with. More often than not i talk to people disappointed after they went and had a fit because they expected more of a transformation

Indeed! Good point.

Finally got my bike how I want it for now with the new wheels/power meter. At least until next year, as I’ll shift back into primarily running/Marathon training in about a month after the BDB100.

Sick rig man. That Quarq is sweet.

Got a 50 piece in this morning with my wife. Stroll pace but shes trying to simulate her planned 1/2 IM ride as to have gas in the tank for the run. Memphis here we come, a month and a half left.
