We are literally a spec of sand compared to the rest of the universe. I’m not saying aliens, but you’re crazy to think that we’re the only ones that exist

I have a stupid question.

Does a planet thats mostly gas have the same gravity as an equal sized planet that's mostly rock?

What about the length of day?

Too late. Jokes on you. My mind already collapsed years ago during some season we choked away.

I’ve always loved this one showing the solar system. Solar System to Scale

Why do they show earth rotating the opposite way? My ocd can’t get past that so I can’t watch the rest of the video.

That truly was awe-inspiring. The universe is a glorious and fascinating place. I often wish I had devoted my life to physics and astronomy and high science, rather than the petty concerns of man.

And yet, insignificant speck of a pimple on a mote that I am, when my kids run up to me and hug me and say “I love you daddy.”

That love right there is the grandest thing in all the cosmos.

Well if that isn't a ringing endorsement for nihilism, I don't know what it. I guess it really doesn't fricking matter if I go to work today or not.

Stuff like that makes me wonder if humans will survive as a species long enough to even physically travel halfway across our own galaxy.

I just don't see it. Unless there is some MAJOR technological breakthrough and someone invents a hyperdrive that we see in sci-fi movies. It will just take too long.

Fyi: When we go to heaven, we each get a galaxy. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
