TJ Finley did what was in his own best interests and no one can fault him for that. Not one person on the rant is going to pay his bills when he gets out of college so he is allowed to do what is best for him. His decision was strictly done in his “own” best interests and no one can fault him for that, I certainly don’t in anyway! I always say, do what you think is in your own best interests and without a doubt he did that and he has every right to do that.

Now as for wishing this kid the best because he was a former Tiger and all that garbage! Uhhhh just NOPE.

I don’t wish ill or harm comes to any player in any sport, but I also don’t wish them success when that success might hurt my LSU Tigers in anyway. Auburn’s success will directly affect LSU, so there is no way in hell I am going to wish for another player to be successful that possibly hurts LSU’s chances at a title in any sport. So that is a big deterrent in me wishing them success somewhere other than LSU, but I am very reasonable about it. Ika Siaki went to Baylor and I wish him the greatest success because he didn’t pick Baylor in order to give payback to LSU and if we ever play Baylor it is in the post-season which can’t be planned on.

And taking pot shots at LSU like he has with his comments hinting to some kind of discord led him to leave and playing against LSU was a big factor in determining destination.

Well then he is no different from any other player on any SEC team playing against LSU and I say, “FTG hope his performance is so crappy at Auburn he is one and done at the end of the season and has to transfer.”

LSU fans don’t owe this ego inflated dude a damn thing including respect. He has been throwing subtle shade at LSU since his benching last year all the way through his departure. Respect in my book is “earned” not given and he has done enough to counter any respect he had earned.

When Auburn has a good season, they usually beat Alabama (at least was true under Gus). I think they won every Iron Bowl when Auburn had a team that was 8 wins or more.

Not saying that means shite for this new coaching staff but Auburn having a winning team usually helps balance out the division.

Dude, bro, you can wish a kid the best even if you don’t agree. Just throw in with the best of the luck the minor exception of when he plays LSU

Man, I almost always take up for the player as well in these situations that better their chances at success but when you go out and make a TRANSFER video after you just were passed up on the depth chart by three other dudes what kind of message are you trying to get out there...It just is a really bad optic in my opinion...Just doesn't seem like the right move but what the hell do I know...Is this the only transfer in/out that has done this?

The video was about as offensive as a St Jude commercial. Congrats for him, who cares

Well if he is good enough to help Auburn beat Bama, then he is good enough to help Auburn best LSU, why in the f*ck would any LSU fan want Auburn to beat Bama if that means they can beat LSU???

I dont care about the video or the kid to be honest. I don’t know him nor does he know me. But I’m just ecstatic and giddy that LSUs qb room has 4th string kids transferring out good enough to play for other SEC teams. My how times have changed. If we could just see this change in another sport we all love and cherish......

LSU needs to beat Auburn either way. I’d rather the scenario where we have to beat auburn and Alabama also has another conference loss on top of that

Because we own Auburn historically so having them beat Bama occasionally gives us a leg up in the division.

If you re-read my post you will see that I clearly wish ex-LSU players success when it doesn’t directly affect LSU. I even gave you an example in Ika, who went to Baylor “not direct competition to LSU” and didn’t throw shade on the way out.

That isn’t what Finley did he went to an arch-rival of LSU and someone we compete against year in and year out for an SEC West title, you couple that with his shade throwing at LSU. No way FTG!!! It is that simple. Just like he doesn’t owe me damn thing, I don’t owe him a damn thing either!

I think most people that are wishing him well (including me) are doing so because he's a Louisiana kid, if he was from Texas, I don't think anyone would be rooting for him but he was a 3 star from our backyard with a lovely family so speaking ill of him is a lot worse than wishing him well imo

Got a reputable source for that or is that someone's imagination.
Every interview I have heard he has been polite and spoke with sound judgement.
I wish him well. I hope he has a successful college and professional career.

He’s obviously implying he wasn’t given a fair chance and made some questionable comments

He’s not a leader and that’s been evident.

If he was good enough, he’d be here instead of transferring. He got beat out.

Can’t blame him for going elsewhere in that sense. Just no need to imply it had to do with anything other than performance

TJ was not very good and I am thankful that he will be one less not very good player at LSU. I would take all 3 of the top 2023 QBs in LA to start over him today and they aren't even Juniors yet in HS.

Not to even mention Walker Howard.

Good bye TJ. Enjoy your parent requested apartment to yourself as you prepare for a future career in the NFL as you are so so so great

agree. He was 3rd out of 3. This was a logical decision.

It's not important enough for me to be upset about this. Remind me in 3 years if/when he's starting against LSU and I'll try to become upset about it.
