He knew he was gonna ride the pine and ran. Will probably leave Auburn for Tulane or their like.

I'm glad to see him go. Hate that it's playing for a team that we face every year. That shite makes me nervous. I'm also nervous that he seems to be untapped and has the Rohan Davey circa 1999 feel about him right now. We saw Ro blow up in 2000, and the rest was history. He very much has the potential to do the same damn thing, except at Auburn now.

Well if he is good enough to help Auburn beat Bama, then he is good enough to help Auburn best LSU, why in the f*ck would any LSU fan want Auburn to beat Bama if that means they can beat LSU???
but how do you figure that translates to Auburn beating LSU?

I guess so. I saw the Twitter video. Nothing there. I saw the interview with Jacques Doucet. Nothing there.
Can't find anything anywhere indicating he said anything negative.
So, what's the other reason they don't like him?
9 page discussion on his announcement ABOUT A FREAKING TRANSFER LIKE HE IS A HIGH SCHOOLER. Did you see Burrow do that? He is selfish and his mom is the reason. She has run her big mouth on multiple occasions in the past
"Each school has given me an opportunity to compete for the starting job," Finley told AL.com. "Based on how comfortable I felt with that, I made my decision based off who I felt gave me the best opportunity to be successful."
“Playing against his former team, Finley said, was a "major" factor in his decision.“

Not me. I’d much rather see him sulk and pout on Auburn’s sideline than ours.

TJ seems like a cool and good kid. Hope he does well. It’s amazing we have 3rd or 4th string QB backups who can potentially start at big time SEC schools. Never thought I’d see that. It’s awesome.

The video was unnecessary but it wasn’t a knock against LSU. It wasn’t in poor taste. I always root for Louisiana kids when they aren’t playing against LSU and it will be no different for him. He wasn’t going to play here, so he can go somewhere else and start fresh. Auburn won’t be a cake walk, but at least he’s confident in his abilities.

It’s funny how people on this board are crapping all over this dude and saying he sucks and then trying to call him out for transferring to a rival. If he is as bad as y’all think, why would you even care where he goes?

"Unnecessary" is the very best way I've heard it described... If you were a regional manager and your company brought in a new regional manager because your district was under performing and demoted you. I dont think you make a video announcing where and what company your taking your talents too and send it out company wide...I really hope he does well but its a odd thing...

quote:I think he's just to proud to accept that he's not as good as our other QBs. I don't believe there is any "discord" at all. It was a simple misdirection to keep people from talking about him not being good enough to start here.
And taking pot shots at LSU like he has with his comments hinting to some kind of discord led him to leave and playing against LSU was a big factor in determining destination.

He took no potshots. OP’s post should be deleted. It’s crap.

you will 100% root for him in the iron bowl
That is nothing I root for every team and every player that plays Bama

The chance to exact revenge on LSU is just an added perk
That is not what he said, why you don’t believe the words that he said. Getting to play against LSU was one of the determining factors!
Why would you think Finley wasn’t being honest there when he said that, if you think he believes it is just a perk?

downvoted the OP based simply on the fundamental principle of supply and demand. The guy can go wherever he wants to and do whatever he wants to. All the 20/20 hindsight fortunetellers can blame LSU for recruiting him in the first place.
Put the crack pipe down kid, you missed the of the post.
I in no way said he can’t go to Auburn, what I said was; normally I wish Tiger well wherever they go, wished Ika, wished Kelvin Joesph by when he went to UK. Because they handled the transfer with class!
TJ has not done that, so I don’t feel the need to wish him well at Auburn, take subtle pot shots and being benched last year takes cryptic shot about things behind closed doors and then says “of course playing against LSU was a determining factor for destination, when asked a question by a reporter”
FTG he is Tigerbait never to be spoken of in the halls at Tiger Stadium again - lol

So. That commitment shite already happened and he WAS GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY unlike Burrow. He was flat out given more games than Max and lost. Why the fan fare? Use it as motivation to fuel you and not use it as a “look at me” moment. Be humble and grind. Stupid arse kids and their selfishness.
Watch Hold the Rope and see Joey Belle getting run because of selfishness. He was one of the best players to EVER put on a uniform there and Bertman ran him. Why? He HURT the team. No LEADER ever wants to do that. No LEADER should ever want to say A “MAJOR” part of his decision was to beat LSU out of his pouting arse spoiled entitled self. Do you honestly want that shite LEADING your team? Nope.
The kid that slighted LSU for UF then transferred to Arky actually grew up along the way. He wasn’t a great QB but did grow up. Maybe there is hope for TJ.

He could have went to ULL and been the man. He isn’t an SEC caliber QB.
