I would not have expected Placido Polanco to be up there with Justice, Burks, or Lankford.

Without looking I feel like Polanco was just solid for a decade plus without putting up any true standout years. I could be totally wrong though

He's in the hall but Kirby Puckett is a player that never seems to be mentioned.

God, I loved instructional videos. If it was a rainy day in the summer, there is a 100% chance I was watching back to back to back AAU national championship coach Tom Emanski and Crime Dog go through drills.

He also hit the longest home run I have ever seen.

I was watching that game on TV when Galarraga hit that HR. When he hit it, I jumped out of my seat in disbelief. I'd seen many games in that stadium prior to and after that HR and still can't believe it.

Steve Garvey is not in the HOF? I didn't know that but if true that's crazy, he was an excellent player and the HOF should be ashamed

Most RBI in MLB from 1984-1998
1 Joe Carter 1444
2 Cal Ripken Jr. 1319
3 Eddie Murray 1220
4 Barry Bonds 1216
5 Jose Canseco 1214

I thought this was a interesting stat.

I actually disagree with this. I like that baseball's HOF is so selective and it is extremely difficult to get in.

It is very different than football's HOF which inducts anyone who can breathe.

I don’t know that Tim Wakefield is underrated but the fact he survived on a knuckleball for as long as he did in the era in which he pitched, is nothing short of remarkable.
