Do you think LSU football players care about LSU or are they just concerned about the NFL?

I think most LSU football players see college as a means to an end, which is to get paid. Most of us were raised as LSU fans and would’ve loved to play for LSU, but I don’t think that is the reality for most LSU football players. Most come from lower income families and see football as their way out. The sooner they can get paid, the better. Don’t be surprised if you see more and more players “opting out” once they have demonstrated their value at the college level.

Depends on the player. Devin White? Yes. Greedy Williams? No.

Most don’t care at all. Ask them.

Can’t they care about both?

Do you think LSU fans care about the players? Or just care about LSU? This one is alot easier to answer!

NFL. They're in it for exposure. Education is secondary, or an even lower priority

My answer: Most do care, some don't, and it doesn't matter. The kids who are from LA and grew up LSU fans definitely do. Out of state kids who have school spirit also care. But other kids come to LSU from out of state to have fun and get ready for the NFL. To them, it's a means to an end, any school would have worked, and that's okay. Plenty of people I know don't give 2 craps about where they went to school, and they're still fine people.
As long as they are good players and good people, who cares if they care about LSU?

A mix of both. Talent level is part of it. When the whole NFLSU thing was it’s height that was the worst of it

Everybody that’s ever went to college uses it as a “mean to an end” it’s a stepping stone in what hopefully helps vault your life to the next step. There are very few alumni that represent their school and talk up there school and program the way LSU guys do. Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu (even after being kicked off) have both given back and come back and promote the program weekly. Guys like Donte Jackson and Leonard Fournette seem to tweet about LSU nearly every other day and that’s just to name a few guys. And yes anybody especially from a lower income family would love to use football as the way out for themselves and their families that’s just common sense and yes the quicker you can get paid (while also trying to balance future earning potential by potentially returning) the better.

Most don’t care as much as you.
And that’s perfectly ok on either end. They are all individuals, most with goals of playing pro. I’m sure the gracious ones appreciate the opportunity that LSU gave them.
And some probably are just assholes.
But as much as us fans. There’s a lot of out of state guys, so probably not.

Probably a mix
Some probably love their experience and will always love LSU.
But it’s hard to turn down money, and college is here to prepare you for career.

I mean they care to an extent but not like your typical diehard fan

Pretty sure they care about themselves. Most of them.

If a kid goes to college on a athletic scholarship and doesn’t want to play professionally for at least two years they are retarded

MOST ALL care about the money from the NFL, there are a rare few who care about the place they played ball.

I think they care more about the tradition of being an ex-LSU football player and the bond that gives them with other ex-LSU players in the pros more so than they care about LSU the university. Seems to be that way for most players from most football programs. Like when ex Ohio St players come on TV during introductions and say "THE Ohio state university" and ex-Miami players like to say they played their college ball at the "U" and ex Bama players like to say "roll tide" after they introduce themselves on camera.

I am sure that each has his on view of things.

I get your question but isn’t this what college is supposed to do for every student ?

Just the NFL, they are on scholarship to LSU because they believe it's the best road for them to the NFL. They would have no problem going to Alabama, Texas or Ole Miss if they thought it would give them a better shot. In the end it's just about money.
