Includes cleaning, maintenance and cafeteria workers as critical to the functioning of the federal government.

Could not pass CONgress so just sign an executive order.

US is now a corrupt dictatorship by oligarchs just doing whatever they want.

Can we tie all these EOs up in court through our conservative judges that Trump appointed all over the country?

The Federal government is the hiring authority for the 3rd party contractors. Why is this a problem?

It will most likely fail hilariously.

It won’t impact existing contracts. If he tries to apply this to existing federal contacts, he opens every single one of them to be subject of protests by non-successful bidders due to changing scope of the requirements. Once a contract award is under protest, it immediately gets issued a stop-work order.

So, this will only apply to future contracts.

The president shouldn’t be able to wave a magic wand and pay anyone in the executive branch (which is an absurd amount of people) whatever he wants. Aren’t wage scales set by congress?

So now all the bids for government projects will be higher.

This cost passed straight to the taxpayers.

It will include the food courts in the exchanges, etc as well... It is almost like they do not even consider 2nd and 3rd order effects of their actions but they really want to destroy everything they touch...

This isn’t a big deal. They’ve been using set Wage Determinations for most types of labor anyway.
