Well,hopefully he's killed in prison.

Thank God I never killed anyone because I think I raced every thing with a motor that I had and my parents had until I was in my mid 20’s.

This guy got what he deserved
I wish nothing but terrible things on him
ETA: I live here and drive down this road multiple times a week. It’s a great place to live and exercise. What this guy did, ignoring the community, is horrific.
He can die for all I care.

I'm sure he is just a dumb irresponsible kid who made a bad mistake. He will have to live with what he did and think about it for his whole life. You have to forgive people and not be so vengeful.

Wrong.
Driving too fast isn’t a mistake. Irresponsible driving is the worst thing a person can do. You have to toss away everyone around you’s lives if when you decide to drive like a maniac.
It’s the easiest thing to avoid, yet so many people do it. When you kill people because you can’t think of the safety of others, you deserve to fry.

Who is even trying to speed here? Who speeds?
Everyone has to drive. Everyone has to be around vehicles. It’s how our society works.
If you drive like a fricking psycho and put normal people’s lives in danger you can get fricked.
I wish nothing but terror on this kid.

Thats fine if you feel that way its just not my way of thinking. I think he should serve time for what he did but I think we've all did stuff that could have turned out bad but we just got lucky it didnt.

He deserves to die but got 24 years in the federal pen. I hope they turn him out and burn him with cigarettes every day.
I mean he deserves prison and all, but damn you act like he was a serial killer who murdered them intentionally.

Every action has a consequence. And he knew the risks... He did not intentionally kill but his actions caused unnecessary risks and death.

It’s not just the mother and daughter killed. The entire family has to deal with this sudden loss because of this selfish fool. I think the sentence is appropriate. Maybe a couple of other young fools will see this and learn from his mistake.

So he should be tortured in prison daily for the rest of his life and or be executed for being stupid?
We have far worse criminals who get far less punishment. And I'm defending this idiot, but acting like he's a monster because a dumb teenager did something dumb is a bit over the top.

Florida is 85% minimum, so 20.4 years.

Ever see a person spinning out and just saying nonsensical things? This is an example. If every person in America that has ever committed the crime of "irresponsible driving" went to jail we wouldn't have enough people on the other side of the bars to do a daily headcount.
Note I am not defending irresponsible driving or what this guy did (which is far more than simply irresponsible) but calling it the worst thing a person can do is taking hyperbole to the Nth degree.

What baffles me is texting while driving isn't treated like a DWI. Hell, at least when under the influence your judgement is altered.
Posted on 4/10/21 at 4:45 am to Mud_Till_May
No criminal record and "time served" in this case was only 2 days according to the judge...straight into a 24 year sentence in Florida's prisons as an 18 year old.
His life is over. It won't physically end, but he is going to be unrecognizable. And that is fine considering he destroyed a family.
Parents, punish your kids. Hold them accountable for their actions. If you don't, recklessness only gets worse.

This. All these baws hoping he dies would be bragging about how fast they've taken their vehicle in a thread about hotrods. The dumb 18 yr old, redundant I know, made a fatal decision that he is deservedly going to pay for. Let him do his time.

A lot of people drive this road daily. It is a 4 lane with a yuge median and sidewalks aboot 30' off the road. There is a constant parade of milf traffic walking/jogging. This wreck caused authorities to slash the speed limit and add two lights, and almost constant cops running radar.
This shithead, and his friend he was racing, need to get a few years also, for the inconvenience they caused everybody else.
