Well since the national average salary for working couples is about $144,000 you would be wrong.
What is it for mid-career college graduates? Because I’d bet it is is higher then that for the demographic I referenced

Any type of farming has its advantages. Not that I'm against it, but I'm sure you make yourself poorer on paper than you actually are through write-offs. If not, then you need a new accountant. I wish I could claim 90% of my purchases as a business expense. Or drive down to the local hardware store, buy a new rifle, and have them write it up as "oil" or some shite. Or buy a new side by side at the end of the year when I've made too much money.

I had an expensive move in 2019 that bumped my AGI over the limit. Even though I filed my taxes in March last year it appears they are still going off my 2019 taxes. I’m fine with it though, I’m not a fan of people receiving it that didn’t lose their jobs.

Of course, especially if there are kids. But it isn't "poor".
Yeah. My wife and I are below the cutoff, but it's not like we're struggling for anything. We're definitely not rich, but we're still very comfortable. We have good savings, max out our retirement contributions, pay for daycare for two kids, pay off the CC every month, and still have extra to invest or travel. We have a modest house and drive modest vehicles. Any couple in the $100k-$150k range should easily be able to be very comfortable - assuming you don't live in some place like California or NYC and you know how to live within your means.

This right here.

A couple making $150k/year isn't poor.
They are far from "rich".
This is very “middle class”.

He definitely got it from there lol. It’s the first thing that pops up when you Google it.

We didn't get either of the first 2 payments because our 2019 income was too high. I had a pay cut in 2020 because of Covid which brought us under the threshold, so we got both of the payments on our 2020 return totaling $5800. Plus we'll get another $5600 with this latest one. Not sure if our return was filed in time though, so it may be on next year's return. And with the expanded child tax credit, we're looking at close to a $10,000 refund, unless my pay goes back to 2019 levels. Our return was filed 3 weeks ago, so it should have been filed in time. Haven't gotten anything yet.
All those payment basically negate my pay cut, other than the expanded child tax credit.

The poors... utterly repulsive. Gross.

quote:Same. I'm getting a check and it's fine but I don't have to have it. At the same time I've been paying taxes for a quarter century and even spent a couple of years sitting in shitholes protecting their wallets. All the while watching them toss trillions of dollars at pet projects, foreign governments, corporate bailouts, ham-fisted foreign entanglements, and a thousand mile laundry list of the dumbest shite imaginable so I don't feel that awful about the extra $1400.
I’m not a fan of people receiving it that didn’t lose their jobs.

Anyone with a job shouldn’t get shite. It should only go to people who have lost their jobs or had significantly decreased household income due to/after the CoVID shutdown began in 2020.

I make too much, but I got a sketchy accountant.

I’m paying the stimulus, not receiving it.
Unfortunately I’ve achieved too much to benefit from Marxism, and I haven’t been able to break into the Marxist elite via celebrity or election, so I’m a victim of Marxism.
