interesting what people consider wealthy or not. my wife and i combined are under the threshold by about $10k and are getting a check, but i consider us pretty wealthy.

that being said, i live in a low cost of living town with pretty low property taxes. we live well below our means with no debt.

sadly, i'll be sending a bit of that back to the government and saving the rest, since i'm pretty sure Biden's going to hit taxes pretty hard in the next 3 years. normally i'd invest more, but i'm a bit wary when the idea of taxing 401ks and capital gains is being floated more and more.

I'm only pissed I'm not getting it because if I hadn't filed 20 taxes I would get it. Now I miss it by $800

If you contributed to both 401ks (39k) you could actually of made 189k last year and still of gotten a full stimmey. Not to mention other deductions you could use it wouldn’t be unheard of making over 200k as a couple still gettin a stimmy. Tricks like this is what keep wealthy from paying taxes. Rental real estate tax write offs. Writing off non cash expenses such as depreciation expense on a rental house when in reality real estate generally appreciates
