I'll agree that the gender swaps are terrible, unnecessary and all that, but Missy was , imo, damn good. Period. No, not on par with John Simm ( epic ) but I'll take Missy over Doctor Karen, any day of the week. I think we both agree that Doctor Who, as it stands now, is a dead franchise.

Fair enough..I'm good with that..

Agatha

I had a hard time following whether she already knew about Wanda before Wanda took over Westview or was Agatha a citizen of Westview and was just another victim of Wanda’s trance on everyone. That scene with Agatha and Vision on Halloween was a bit confusing.

No doubt. It is unwatchable, sadly, and has been dead for some time now.

I've not seen 1 ep of Doctor Karen.

As for #12, I think Capaldi was good, but should have been better. Clara wasn't a good match for him, as much as they tried to make it fit, and she just wore out her welcome. I don't think her exit was well thought out either.

But I guess this is way off topic now.

I'm not sure when/how Agatha got into Westview, but she wasn't a resident.

When Woo did the whiteboard layout of the show, he had in-show characters with attached Westview identities on each. "Agnes" didn't have any real-world ID.

I just assumed she "felt" or was called to the large magic use, since she absorbed magic.

Kinda snuck in, and that's when she was the snoopy neighbor trying to figure it all out.

Depends on who writes the comic.

Phoenix>Scarlet Witch>Jean Gray>Wanda

Some consider the Scarlet witch the most powerful mutant however most of her powers come from Chthon in a similar manner that Jean got power from the Phoenix force. In the end it doesn't matter unless you get a story with them facing off, they are both Omega level mutants and both use power from a supernatural entity. The Phoenix Sagas and House of M comics were some of the best story arcs ever, I really hope we see them done well in the MCU. Could you imagine Marvel bringing in Mutants only to have the "no more mutants" moment!

Probably an unpopular comment but after 8 episodes of Wanda holding on to this world and people she created to the point of madness...she voluntarily just quits, “kills off” vision and her kids and goes sit somewhere in the Alps to drink coffee like Thanos.

OK.

The show was well done but I have a hard time believing she solved neurosis in an episode because some towns people were suffering. She was ambivalent to it all before until someone called her a “villain”.

Agree with this. I would have liked for Wanda to have had to go through the grieving process and then accept that her reality wasn't real. Or, I would have liked to have seen it ripped from her somehow (for example, if that's what it took to beat Agatha).

Wanda finding her conscience was kind of a lazy way to wrap up. And, it removed the underlying possibility that Wanda is on the cusp of being bad and thus a really big problem. I LOVED Wanda's smirk when Agatha mentions "No you're not, you are cruel!"

But, I suspect they really wanted the denouement of saying goodbye and explaining who Vision was.

Still liked it.

Did you not see the end credit scene?

Jean seems to die a lot more than Wanda, but power levels are all determined by the writers.

Jean is more interesting when she’s dead.

Kids disappeared because they were created by Wanda out of nothing and only existed within the hex. Agnes was real but now she's been brainwashed into believing she's just a normal busybody in Westview.

How'd that play out for Hulk? He destroyed cities, yet in Endgame he was signing autographs.

I'm thinking saving the world gives you a little carte blanche especially after the blip.

I was wondering how the hell she didn’t smash through the windshield after she rammed that old arse truck into a damn Humvee at 45 mph.

It only looked like an old truck. It was an armored SWORD truck.

And she has built in airbags.

Wanda owned this show to the point where she is arguably the most powerful character in the MCU.

I thought it was obvious before this show she was the strongest in the MCU.

She basically beat Thanos by herself
