Do you know anyone that’s been completely shut in for a year?

Reading this Twitter thread has my mind blown. Are these people real? Or is just some virtue signal contest?

I get if you are old or sick but some of these people claim to be vaccinated and still staying shut in
Has anyone else not dined in a restaurant since Feb/March 2020? I recently shared that with someone and they acted like that was the wildest thing they’d heard of.

Man, I'm glad I don't look at twitter. I'd probably have an apoplectic aneurism.

Not in Houston. I think even the hardcore libs here my age realized at a certain point that we’d never be like New York and Los Angeles.

I love how some people get offended when they get called fascist and must try to correct them on the meaning(well what they want it to mean for the context), yet then turn around and use the term fascist incorrectly. Everywhere in La I've been the past few months has been normal except Nola.

Yes. Friend of the family’s son. He literally freaks out and Lysol’s them down at the door whenever they go anywhere. It’s crazy to me how they indulge this behavior.

Miserable people will always want everyone else to be miserable right along with them.

I've seen people on twitter saying they don't think they'll ever go in public without a mask again. And they're not joking. Enjoy your frail immune system I guess, maybe they'll get Darwin'd.

I haven’t eaten inside a restaurant in a year. By choice though and I’m not complaining about it on twitter

My cousin in Portland hasn’t been around any other person other than her BF (or so she claims) since last March.

2 young, active, healthy people in their early 30s.

It’s insane.

That ok boomer kid is probably some soy boy who still thinks we have bodies piled up in the morgues.

Boomers invented a lot of the shite you think you're an expert on. Go pick out some new loafers.

I have an acquaintance who I'm told has one lung ... she hasn't been out of her home except to pick up groceries or so I'm told.

Her kids were FINALLY allowed to visit with friends (teenage kids) IF they promised to stay distanced and keep a mask on. The mom of the kids they were visiting told this to me .. she was so glad to have them over so that HER kids could visit she did as the mother asked.

I could not imagine not getting out at all.

Up until about the middle of July. My wife and I were pretty shut in. The only times we left the house were for the grocery store.

At that point, we couldn't take it anymore and we've basically been back to normal ever since then. We do everything now that we did prior to Covid. I still work from home, but that's not because I'm scared of Covid, but rather working from home is the shite. Eventually I will likely have to go back in full-time, but until then I will continue to enjoy saving gas money and not sitting in traffic.

There's going to be a big mental health crisis this summer with these people when they see 95% of the country out and enjoying life.
