Indiana mom makes her sons carry tampons @ school in case female friends have an emergency

Now Micah, 16, and Elijah, 17, always keep tampons in their lockers in case of emergency, and their thoughtfulness is being applauded on social media.

I like this but honestly it’s just a half measure. She needs to help her sons realize that their privilege causes harm to women, including trans women. Do they plan on going to college? What if they take a woman’s spot? These are serious issues and her children need to be more cognizant of the destructive roles they will play when they get older. Still, it’s a start...

I think maybe the intent here is good, but just cannot imagine a high school girl going to a guy asking for a tampon. Most girls I knew at that age were mortified when guys knew they were on their period.
