This is the best time for Saban to retire. He probably won't, but here's why he should.

He just won his seventh national title, the most of any coach in CFB history. He also just compiled his best recruiting class ever. He's stocked a cupboard full of five star talent for the next guy. He's undergoing major staff turnover. He's 69 years old. He's worth approximately $60 Million. Ms. Terry is still in her prime. He's 5'6." Urban Meyer is leaving an opening in television. He really has a chance to go out on top right now. It's time to pass the torch.

That’s the fun part though. He gets to recruit new coaches and find more rehab patients.

He’s competitive. He still makes 10m per. Competitive people don’t just walk away. He wants 8 and will probably get it.

TV Guys are making more than coaches now.

I think he stays around until he can’t win titles. He doesn’t seem like he would enjoy not coaching.

Because everyone in the CFB world is fricking sick of him and Alabama.

You are absolutely correct.

O is gonna bring him on as an analyst. He can do as much as he wants, make a few nickels chase some co-eds, profit.

He will be at Bama another 10 years.

If he hangs on too long, he'll end up just like Joe Pa

We all know he isnt, but I thought earlier this year, if he was to win 7 and had a couple of down years afterwards he would be more apt to hang them up if he was still at 6 NC imo. However, this was before he caught covid and then stated that missing that one game made him realize how much he loved coaching. Honestly I can see him around for another decade barring any major health issues. Its just who he is and Im not sure he could adapt to not being a coach or being around football

He needs to quit fathering football players and be the father and grandfather his kids and grandkids deserve. They’ve waited a long time for his attention.

CFB would be better for it honestly
he dominates which is impressive...
but it's make CFB boring...
no one wants to see the same teams in the playoff every year...

Agreed
but I think he needs another challenge...
he's king of hill
going higher does what?

He recruits uber-elite classes nearly every year.

This happens every year to his staff.

He's been old and really rich for a long time now.

How many times is this now? 2? 3?

6 in 12 years means he's won a title every other year on average.
All this to say: this is just standard operating procedure for Saban. If he hasn't retired anytime in the past 10 years, the reasons listed probably aren't gonna sway him to go kick back. This is just business as usual for him.
I hope your arguments do persuade him to hang the whistle up though. It's sickening watching what he's done with that program.

They will force him out before he retires, but he’s getting old he’ll start slipping soon, it will only take a few 8 or 9 win seasons.

Just have to wait for him to trip a player running down the sidelines.

I have no idea how much time he spends with them. I know it cant be a whole lot during the season, He is great at managing time obviously so Im sure if Ms Terry said Nick its time, He would have a hell of a hard time telling her no.

I dont know what other challenge is there other than hitting 10 NC. No one will ever catch him now I dont believe. Currently Dabo probably has the best shot at even getting into the realm of 7 NC but thats still a very low percentage. He hates the NFL. Maybe all time wins too? How far is he away from that?

The dude said he was miserable when he was quarantined during the week of the Auburn game.
He will die on the sidelines because he's one of those guys that won't know what to do in retirement.
