Nutrition Question

Hey guys, I’m looking for a healthy alternative for my morning nutrition. Lately I’ve been feeling real sluggish in the mornings at work, and looking for something to just make me feel better physically and mentally. Is there a smoothie I should make? Do you guys recommend any nutritional shake? Any advise would be very helpful! Thanks!

You want advice on a change, but didn't say what your current routine is. Once you do, people can probably give you actual advice.

No.

What are you eating now? You’re not giving a lot of details. I would recommend a protein, a carb and a fruit.

My breakfast almost every morning now is a cup of oatmeal mixed with 4 eggs (or 5-6 egg whites). All cooked. Hot sauce mixed in.
This has been my routine for about a year. If I miss breakfast, I always feel notably worse. And I’m not a breakfast person.

I like 2-3 eggs, cup of grilled spinach, a cup of black cofee and a bagel.
I feel like a champ working out after

How do you prepare it? Any quick, microwave option?

I got into Huel Black a few months ago and really like it. I suck at getting up and making food so some powder that I can just knock down for 400 pretty well balanced calories works well for me.

Put it in the microwave and turn it on

Overnight protein oats are a pretty good option for most people.

Eggs
With green and red peppers, onions and rice
Maybe put a little hot sauce, Buffalo sauce or sriracha on that bad boy
Or if no rice maybe a taco with it, use a couple small tortillas

Just microwave the eggs bro lol. I’d suggest stopping every minute to stir so it doesn’t pop.

I can honestly say I've never had oatmeal mixed with eggs.

Bunch of good options in here, but that's not why you are feeling sluggish. Stop and examine your sleep, both the amount and the quality.
Try and get 8 solid hours every night and practice good sleep hygiene.
If I had to guess, you are not sleeping long enough and you prolly are getting way too much blue light around bed time that is affecting your sleep quality.

You can cook the eggs in with the oats in the microwave in less than 3 minutes. Mix them all together (with water), bout a minute in the microwave, stir, another 45 seconds (it will blow up and make a huge mess at 46 seconds, this is very important), stir, another 30 seconds, done. However I don't like the consistency when I do that.
I prefer to cook the oats in the microwave regular, and fry or scramble the eggs separate then mix it all together. Honestly, the only thing that makes this method take longer is cleaning the pan afterwards.
Give it a try, it's surprisingly good. I literally can't eat it without the hot sauce though, game changer. My wife likes hers with syrup...gross.

Yes. Can't say this enough. Lay in bed 1 hour before lights out time, no electronics a minimum of 30 minutes before lights out.
For example, my routine that helps me feel so, so much better:
In bed for 9, no electronics after 9:30 (no electronics after 9 is preferable but we're all human). Lights out at 10.

I like a meal replacement shake in the morning. Quick and easy.
