If someone doesn't come up with another more conservative party or two at this point, it'll never happen. Anyone hearing any actual rumblings on this, or is everyone waiting on Trump to start something new?

I left the GOP about 5 years ago because of the unity that they have with the Dems. For decades they played in public as polar opposites but behind closed doors, they really stood for the same things; a bigger more oppressive federal government, insane amounts of spending, and trashing our Bill of Rights. I thought my home was the LP National party but after being in it for a year, I quickly found out that those guys care more about saying, "We are not Republicans" than they do about standing for freedom. If you are a liberty loving conservative that values the Bill of Rights and the principles of limited government, which was the dream of the founders, you're like me... politically homeless.

I am for taking over the Republican party. Starting a new party would be extremely difficult.

Most important is taking over the MSM first or at least getting 50/50 opinion split on news broadcasts.

Why not just take back our party? It is ours afterall.
The very people causing us to think about leaving are where they are because we allow them to be. We allow them to cause us to want to leave the party.

I’m changing my party affiliation the day Biden is allowed to place his hand on the Bible.

Yeah it's time for an actual conservative party to rise up.

And just to get ahead of it: No, the modern Libertarian Party is not conservative.

I already left. Democrats will say it was because of the election, but that was just the breaking point for me. I havent been happy with them since all the bitching they did with the Affordable Healthcare Act, with absolutely no replacement plan.

That really showed me the true colors of what a politician is today.

Lynchpin of any successful Conservative party going forward will be the Latino vote.

No other path to success.

Semantics.
Doesn’t matter at this point.
I’d say, what matters is how you vote.
But we all know that’s not true either.

Go to geaux vote site and change your registration. I left and changed mine to No Party. Doesn't stop you from voting in any primaries like it does in other states. Maybe if the number of registered R voters drops significantly, they'll worry. Doubt it, but doesn't hurt anything to try.

I’m with you, just need a suitable new party to land in.

I do think that peachmint and the whole cancel culture drive is partially designed to thwart a new Conservative party. I can see doxing, firing. shaming etc while any new party attempts to get established.

So confused...was it the two largest non budgeted spending bills in US history that made you think Trump is conservative?

or

Was it the printing of 23.8% of our money supply being printed in his last year?

or

was it the 100 other liberal ideas he promoted that has you thinking that?

I was never part of it. I registered as a Democrat when I turned 18, then changed it to independent when I was 26 and realized the dims weren't who I'd always thought they were.

But for the record the GOPe isn't "Republican" any more. They're the DNC lite.

Libertarian Party was founded in 1971.
Constitution Party was founded in 1992.

Both of which are FAR more conservative than Republicans. Both have consistent moral and philosophical guidelines and don't sway in the breeze like the Rs and Ds. I'd recommend looking at both.

Trump is toxic AF. He’s not creating anything and he’ll be wiped clean from the history books.

The Dems are the 95 Huskers and Republicans are the 20 Commodores at this point.

They control everything, they have actually managed to somehow convince their base that their policies will be good for them and Trump essentially destroyed the GOP

Don’t expect anything but fanatical leftist rule for a very long time. A very long time
